Last Saturday, a talk on Vivian Maier together with at Fotografiska Shanghai.

On March 13, 2026, the exhibition Unseen Work by Vivian Maier (1926–2009) officially opened at Fotografiska Shanghai.

FOTO BOOK CLUB focus on Maier’s photobooks, using reading as a way to explore the unique lived experience and way of seeing embedded within her images—often hidden beneath the surface of everyday life.

The building stands square and plain, most of its windows closed tightly, with only a few emitting a faint glow. The strip of green light from the ground-floor shops looks so much like a Hopper painting—even the two women within the light seem to be from one.
