【S17 Season Preview】Massive Interactive Experience Optimizations to Reduce Daily Grind
UI interaction and information conveyance have long been areas needing improvement. For the S17 - Shield of Valor Season, we've invested significant effort into addressing current experience issues in these two areas and are providing corresponding optimization solutions. Due to the extensive nature of the adjustments, we're only showcasing a portion here, with further improvements to come in subsequent updates.
■ Equipment Details Page Layout Optimization
After this update, all crucial information related to equipment (Equipment Attributes, Equipment Skills, Runes) will be unified and displayed on a single page, with well-organized content partitions and collapsible sections. This aims to prevent information overload that increases player comprehension costs and button-pressing steps.
■ Backpack UI Adjustment
Observant knights may have noticed from the images that we've removed the Alchemy and Skin Pack access buttons from the backpack (post-modification, they can only be accessed from the game menu bar). Simultaneously, a new Skin Pack function entry has been added to the menu bar.
Additionally, the equipment page will now default to an expanded state for easy page switching and operation. Another noticeable change is that the backpack interface will no longer display Gold and Diamond balances; they will only appear when Gold or Diamond consumption is required.
Beyond these, there are several other changes which we will detail in the subsequent full update announcement.
■ Ghost Division Information Conveyance Optimization
In addition, we will detail several other changes in the subsequent full update announcement.
Currently, the panel information for Ghost Divisions includes both inactive and active states, without accurately conveying the actions players should take or the status display for each state.
Through these adjustments, we aim to clearly and accurately communicate key information, including the division's function, actionable areas, and current status. Taking the Random Attribute Division as an example, the new interface will prominently display the division's attribute requirements and effects, presenting them in separate, distinct sections.
Furthermore, the often-criticized Training Division interface has also been adjusted. We've moved the training slots into the right-side menu interface. Dragging and dropping ghosts will no longer be as susceptible to interference from other factors, reducing operational failures.
Beyond these, there are additional changes to the Ghost Division, which we will detail in the subsequent full update announcement.
■Journey Feature Entry Information Display
Optimized the UI display information for each journey system entry, focusing on highlighting obtainable rewards, current unlock progress, and remaining entry attempts (ticket count).
■ Smelting Function Interaction Logic Optimization
Improved the precision of dragging and dropping smelting stones. Previously, when dragging equipment to the left-side smelting interface, dropping it anywhere on the panel would successfully load it. However, smelting stones required precise placement into the smelting grid. This logic has now been made consistent with the equipment.
After placing smelting materials, a [Clear All Smelting Materials] button has been added. Clicking it immediately removes all materials from the smelting interface (returning them to the backpack).

Additionally, a quick-loading function has been added. By clicking the [Quick Load] button, you can click on equipment within the backpack and smelting pages to load it.
■ Optimized Skin Pack
Currently, the skin interface defaults to storing individual skin pieces, with a cap on skin slots, which isn't conducive to collection. After the modification, we've added an interface for collected skin sets. This will make it easier to find the desired set for wearing when many skins have been accumulated, enabling one-click dressing.
Note: The preview content is only a partial showcase. Please refer to the subsequent update announcement for complete details. We will continue to gather feedback and persistently optimize the interactive experience, such as with batch material exchange for Alchemy, striving to help lighten the load for everyone.
