Yesterday, the Orchestre de Paris gave its first concert at the National Centre for the Performing Arts in Beijing.

With a warmly receptive audience, the evening felt like a genuine success—focused, present, and deeply engaged. What stayed in the air was the chemistry between Maestro Esa-Pekka Salonen, Renaud Capuçon, and the orchestra, giving the music both brilliance and vivid, breathing color.

The program unfolded in one continuous arc, from Debussy’s Prélude à l’après-midi d’un faune to Bartók’s Violin Concerto No. 2, then the tenderness of Ravel’s Ma Mère l’Oye, and finally the wide, shimmering horizon of Debussy’s La Mer.

A special thank you to Bertrand Lortholary, French Ambassador to China, for joining us—and to Wang Ning, President of the NCPA, and the NCPA team, as well as Christian Thompson, Artistic Director of the Orchestre de Paris, and the Orchestre de Paris management for helping make this milestone possible.

A memorable opening—onward to the next concert tonight!

Happy Birthday to Yefim Bronfman 🎹

Today we celebrate one of the great pianists of our time—an artist whose playing combines granite-strength power with astonishing clarity and poetry. We at Wu Promotion still remember the electricity of his 2025 China recital tour, when he brought Schumann, Brahms, Debussy, and Prokofiev to audiences across the country and left every hall buzzing long after the last note.

Wishing Maestro Bronfman a wonderful birthday and an inspiring year ahead —and hoping to welcome him back on stage with us again soon.

A proud moment for Wu Promotion—our President Jiatong Wu has been awarded the Knight´s Cross of the Hungarian Order of Merit in recognition of long-standing cultural exchange between China and Hungary.

For many years, Wu Promotion has worked to build bridges through music and the performing arts—supporting collaborations, tours, and projects that connect artists and audiences across borders. Among these, Budapest Festival Orchestra, successful Chinese New Year Concert and China Central Opera House to Budapest stand out as milestones in our shared journey.

And the story continues this spring: we are delighted to welcome the Budapest Festival Orchestra to China—bringing exceptional symphonic performances to Beijing and Shanghai between Mar 27 and Apr 1.

Thank you to our partners and audiences in both countries for making this cultural dialogue possible—on stage, and beyond.
