Mum: My son, why are you getting fairer by the day?
Son: Really?
Mum: Yes. So you've started using your wife's body lotion right?
Son: Ah ah no nar mama. I'm still using my lotion.
Mum: Ngwagu, is he using your lotion? cos I don't understand why he's becoming fair. Even his siblings second the motion.
Me: 😅, no Mum. he isn't.
Mum: So it's marriage that's making my son shine like this? haya

For the records, "Godly marriage in itself is a beauty cream".

Sometime ago, we had a classic "Dais" misunderstanding about a keyboard.
👸Wifey: Sweet, where’s the keyboard that used to be behind you?
🤴Hubby: Which keyboard?
👸Wifey: "Which keyboard" how? You don’t remember the keyboard that was behind you?
🤴Hubby: Have you ever seen a keyboard behind me? 🤨
👸Wifey: So you really can’t remember? Wasn’t there a keyboard in this house, right there behind you?
🤴Hubby: (Looking back) Weh, Sweet, there’s never been a keyboard behind me. I don’t know what you’re talking about.
👸Wifey: And is that why you're raising your voice?
🤴Hubby: I’m not raising my voice! You’re the one trying to create an issue where there shouldn’t be one!
👸Wifey: Really? It's okay. (Silent mode activated 🤐)
After a moment of "loud silence"...

🤴Hubby: (Calmly) What keyboard are you really talking about?
👸Wifey: (Mute, as in: "You finally asked, abi?")
🤴Hubby: Eh, my dear wife?
👸Wifey: (Like the water gushing from the rock Moses struck in the wilderness 🌊) Is it the keyboard you and the baby played the other day? The very one Dave asked to collect!
🤴Hubby: Oh! That one! I thought you were talking about a computer keyboard! 💻
👸Wifey: Ah-ah! It’s a PIANO keyboard I’m talking about! 🎹

**What now?** 💭
Misunderstandings are inevitable in every marriage, but the outcome depends entirely on how you navigate them. When it comes to communication, here are a few golden rules:
✅ Avoid assumptions and provide enough detail to set the scene.
✅ Raising your voice doesn't make you more "right", it just makes the other person defensive.
✅ Never assume you are both talking about the same thing. Ask clarifying questions early!
✅ It is better a close-ended answer than and open-ended answer.

🤷‍♂️What other lessons can you learn from this story? Let’s talk in the comments! 👇

/SHE_WILL_CHANGE #

I've heard a lot of people saying their partners will change once they get married especially when they're being warned of the Redlights.

- "Uh, it's just a matter of time, he'll become born again after we get married."😮‍💨
- "He just slapped me once and promised it will never happen again."😬
_ "She cheated just once but assured me I'm the only guy she'll forever love."🤒
- She calls me demeaning names even in public. Well, I laugh at them cos I know she not being serious...🤯"

Wait oh, what guarantee or assurance do you have when you're not God to know the end from the beginning?🤔
See eh, if you know what's good for you, RUN OH because IF THEY DON'T RESPECT YOU IN FRIENDSHIP, THEY'LL NEVER RESPECT YOU IN COURTSHIP, TALKLESS OF MARRIAGE.

Meanwhiiiiiiile, when Daryl and Lois were still innocent friends, They still looked good together cos RESPECT HAD IT'S PLACE. 🤗🥰

Ever wonder why we say "to have and to hold" at weddings? 💍 Before dancing to its melodious rhyme, know this.

I was recently thinking about how these words traveled from dry, old property law documents right to the altar. Historically, they were about legal ownership. Very formal and, honestly, a bit cold. But when we bring them into a marriage, they undergo a beautiful, life-giving transformation.
It’s actually a little funny when you think about it: we’re using phrases that were once meant for land deeds to describe the most intimate human connection!
But in the context of a godly union, the shift is profound.
📌"To have" isn't about owning someone. It’s about receiving them as a precious gift from God. As **Genesis 2:24** tells us, we leave and cleave, becoming one flesh. It’s a total acceptance of the other person, their imperfections and all, just as Christ accepts us.
📌And "to hold"? That’s our promise to be an anchor. It echoes **Ecclesiastes 4:12**, reminding us that a cord of three strands is not quickly broken. We hold onto each other because God is holding us both. It’s the late-night comfort, the steady hand through the chaos, and the deliberate choice to keep holding on when life gets heavy, mirroring the way we are called to bear one another’s burdens (**Galatians 6:2**).
We take these old legal terms and turn them into a living, breathing promise of support, mirroring the covenantal love that God has for us.

📌 **NB:** Marriage isn't a transaction or a contract you sign and stash away. It’s a daily, spiritual practice of continually choosing to cherish and support the person you’re with, keeping God at the center of the "hold."
Hold on to that spouse who hold on to you, and always remember the third strand that makes it all possible. 😊❤️

🎉🎊💖💝

It feels like we slept last night it was June 22 2024 and woke up this morning and it was June 22 2026😯.

But for real, it's 2 years already! It's been a Rollercoaster of emotions: Joy, relieve, gratitude, mad exitement, pride, Guilt, fear, anxiety, the craziest mood swings you will never imagine even in your wildest dreams. How God did it, we can't tell but what we're sure of is He's still on our matter. Still unveiling chapters of our lives that we'll live to remember and be grateful for.

🔮KEY LESSONS LEARNT SO FAR🔮

📌 Your partner is that perfect mirror that reflects your perfections and imperfections when the one in your bathroom/bedroom will never do.

📌 Learn to get comfortable discussing uncomfortable situations without letting loose the fountain of negative emotions.

📌GODLY CHARACTER and PRAYER are the languages your spouse will understand when words have failed.

📌 The fact that they failed at A doesn't mean they didn't succeed at B. So, Never underestimate your partner's efforts because they didn't act as you expected.

📌 ALWAYS PUT GOD FIRST, NOT CHURCH!

FATHER, DAIS is grateful💖🙏

MARRIAGE, AN ACHIEVEMENT?

😌I want to marry to oppress the singles
🫠I want to marry to wear one-kind with my spouse
🤗I want to marry to look fresher and finer
🤭I want to marry to have a "talk-of-the-town" wedding
🥰I want to marry to have a Dimbula, Sri Lanka Honeymoon trip
bla bla bla

Ladies and Gentlemen🎤

Ei get as Marriage sabi sweet oh but Marriage is more of an ASSIGNMENT than an ACHIEVEMENT.
🛠It comes with responsibilities that even your marriage counselors didn't tell you. you have to discover them.
😫It comes with struggles you never heard of or saw the solutions somewhere else. You got to strategize and create them.
🥱It comes with boredom and prison-like feelings you could never imagine. You've got to find your own spice for it.

It's good to admire other marriages but know that no two marriages are similar.

Remember, the Certificate you recieve at your wedding is not an ACCOMPLISHMENT.
So, don't flaunt your RING and forget to SWING your SWING.
Ei get as ei sweet oh😁, but Marriage is not for the weak. as you deh rush to enter, fasten your belt to remain cos it's a one-way-journey.
