When we launched Miss & Mr. Renaissance 2026, our vision was to raise ambassadors who would carry Africa's cultural identity forward through purposeful, community-driven projects.

Today, our focus is Mr. Renaissance 1st Runner Up, Odega Clinton. He is a native of Modelle in the Northwest Region , a teacher, a lover of culture and fashion.

As Mr. Renaissance 1st Runner Up, he organized the International Mother Tongue Day at his school, Ladybird English Secondary School, during which students participated in debates, cultural dance, and the Miss & Mr. Culture pageant.

And today, he has written a book on certain cultural practices, especially from his village, Modelle. This book carries proverbs, marriage rites, how things are named in the dialect, and so much more. A copy goes for 5,000 XAF. You can pre-order using the link below.

Learning about another person's culture is one of the deepest forms of respect you can show them.

It is with great honor that I announce my second project as Mister Renaissance 1st Runner Up under the Renaissance (Iko-fi) collective, dedicated to promoting and preserving our rich cultural heritage of Modelle through modeling and education.

This project has led to the production of a book titled “IDDEH AND NORTHWEST MARRIAGE PROVERBS.”

This work embodies the legacy of Modelle, presenting timeless royal values, guiding principles for dignified living, and essential teachings on how children of the palace should conduct themselves.

It is also enriched with powerful proverbs designed to preserve, strengthen, and uplift the institution of marriage within our communities.
Through this project, I seek to inspire a deeper appreciation of our traditions while passing down wisdom that will endure for generations.

Healing Hands, Healthy Harvest: Miss Renaissance 2026 Brings Relief to the Meta Community.

Smiles, relief, and gratitude filled the Funam Palace yesterday as Miss Renaissance 2026, in partnership with the Funam Palace Iko-Fi Collective and , organized a free physiotherapy campaign under the theme “Healthy Back, Healthy Harvest.”

Focused on helping people aged 35 and above suffering from back ache, waist pain, and leg pain, the initiative combined healthcare, education and community service in a truly impactful way.

Participants received talks on the causes of back pain, proper methods of carrying heavy loads and simple exercises that can be practiced at home to reduce discomfort. Over 40 people benefited from free consultations and detailed physiotherapy sessions led by a professional team from Bamenda, leaving many with visible relief and happy smiles.

To make the day even more memorable, a tombola session was organized during which five participants received gifts from Miss Renaissance 2026. The grand prize, a vertical planter, was won by Tabod Megha.

A nurse from Mbengwi Sidoline Seta, was also invited to observe and learn during the sessions, helping extend knowledge and support to surrounding communities for future cases.

The campaign reflects the wider Iko-Fi Renaissance vision championed by HRH Mbacham Wilfred Fon Tarkeh II, Fon of Funam, aimed at reclaiming identity, restoring dignity in African culture, providing health maintenance for a healthy harvest and promoting culture as a tool for community development.

Participants expressed joy and appreciation, with many requesting that more sessions like this be organized in the future.

Long live Funam. Long live the Meta people.
“Eforti Ayekah.”

Under the African skies in Senegal, standing before the African Renaissance Monument - the largest monument I have ever seen, I was left speechless, emotional and deeply moved. It reminded me that we must value who we are. We must see ourselves differently. Let us return to our culture.

Part 2. MISTER RENAISSANCE VISITS THE AFRICAN RENAISSANCE MONUMENT IN SENEGAL.

We cannot speak of the African renaissance without speaking of Senegal, a country that helped shape the intellectual and cultural foundations of the movement itself.

The land of Léopold Sédar Senghor and the Négritude movement that taught Black people across the world that our culture is not something to erase, dilute or recover from, but something to honor with pride.

The land of Cheikh Anta Diop, who challenged the world to recognize Africa's central place in civilization and history.

Senegal has long been a meeting point for African thought, Black identity, art, elegance and cultural pride. A place where Africa remembers herself.

We remember.

MISTER RENAISSANCE VISITS SENEGAL

When Mr. Renaissance visited Senegal, visiting the African Renaissance Monument was not just an option. It was the plan because, some places are more than destinations. They are symbols, declarations and reminders of who a people are.

Standing high above Dakar, the African Renaissance Monument is one of the boldest symbols of African pride ever built. The monument portrays an African man, woman and child emerging forward with strength and purpose, reaching toward the future. It represents liberation, rebirth, awakening and the rise of a continent reclaiming its voice, identity and greatness.

And that vision aligns deeply with everything the Renaissance Pageant stands for and represents: a generation reconnecting with its roots without shame.

The Renaissance Pageant is not simply about crowns or appearance. It is about representation, legacy and raising ambassadors who understand that African culture is not a limitation, it is power.

For too long, Africa was spoken about through the language of lack. But the African Renaissance Monument tells a different story.
A story of strength.
Of dignity.
Of becoming.
Of a continent rising on its own terms.

This is the Renaissance!!
