OPEN HEAVEN
Psalms 28:2¹
❝ Hear the voice of my supplications, when I cry to You, when I lift up my hands toward Your holy sanctuary.❞

──━──┙🙌🏾┕──━──

✨ Why pray for your prayer to be heard? Those who have a direct line and who have God as a dynamic interlocutor are no longer aware of the possibility of a bronze sky². If they ever knew it, it was before, in the days of religious folklore with no real exchange³. Those prayer books recited without heart. Those requests crashing against a ceiling for lack of relationship⁴.

✨ And even the acquainted sometimes know that heavy heart of things we dare not say. Those sorrows that burden faith and trust. Those sins that make us want to turn our face away and that take away the freedom of grace⁵. Those dark attacks that seek to wrap the body in heaviness and send thoughts spiraling toward the most pessimistic⁶. The Bible even tells us about evil angels deploying to block answers to prayers⁷.

✨ Aware of all these possibilities, should we not prepare the biotope favorable to answered prayer? Be careful, we are not talking about earning access. The right of access has already been freely given to us by Jesus Christ⁸. It is up to each one to make oneself acceptable. We do not become acceptable to be loved. We take care to remain so because we are already loved, so that nothing clogs the pipe. It is therefore about preserving our sonship⁹, watching against anything that can deprive us of the right to His answer¹⁰ and fighting the shadows that want to paralyze contact with the green olive tree¹¹. Without His presence, our parched souls would be cut off from so many opportunities to obtain His help¹². So I will make sure to stay on good terms with God.

Have an excellent weekend Noble People.

THE DEAF ROCK

Psalm 28:1
❝ To you, LORD, I call; you are my Rock, do not turn a deaf ear to me. For if you remain silent, I will be like those who go down to the pit. ❞

──━──┙🛘┕──━──

✨ If You are silent, my Rock, who will speak to me?
Who will tell me a truth where no lie can be?
If Your voice withdraws, how will my light remain?
Who will correct my heart, without bringing pain?

✨ Are You silent, yet not far away?
Is Your nearness too loud for my ear to stay?
A different closeness, asking me to stand,
Not empty void, but a heavy, shaping hand.

✨ What familiar voice would leave without a sound?
The one that every morning said, "I am around".
Then my quick heart cries out: I am rejected,
Our journey and our purpose, neglected.

✨ But the Weaver's quiet while He weaves the art,
The Watcher speaks no word, yet guards the heart.
Your silence is no betrayal, no goodbye,
It's Your hand teaching me toward shelter to cry.

✨ So be not deaf, O my Rock, my King,
One word lifts me up, one silence cuts my wing.
Better Your voice that wounds, yet makes me whole,
Than a thousand sweet voices flattering my soul.

THE HELP

Psalms 27:14¹
❝ Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD ❞

──━──┙❣️┕──━──

✨ How strong is your heart? How mature is your heart? What is its capacity to endure, to love, to persevere, to stay positive? When we are told to keep our heart², it is not only to keep ourselves from wickedness toward others, it is to watch over its good state and its good dispositions. What about our emotional health?

✨ It may sound unspiritual to toss to and fro with every event and be thin-skinned. It is indeed unspiritual. What did you think I was going to say? Encourage you to intemperance, anger, mood swings, pessimism³? We must keep our heart. Want it or not, we must train ourselves and grow. Let us understand then that the heart needs to be strengthened⁴.

✨ The child cries over a trifle. The adult faces setbacks even when circumstances are not to his glory⁵. He reminds himself of reasons to hope. That is why twice in the same verse our verse of the day says: wait on the LORD. The Bible says it 6 times. Train your heart to do it. Tell it to do it. Command it to do it⁶. Let not your heart be ill-prepared to wait for its help⁷.

SURE GOD
Psalm 27:13¹
❝ Oh! Had I not believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living!❞

──━──┙🏆┕──━──

✨ If I were not sure of the goodness of God, I would hold by a transparent thread the insidious ties² with enemies of God³. I would become "reasonable" to explain His decisions that I too don't grasp⁴, out of fear of rejection and lack.

✨ If I were not sure of the goodness of God, I would hide from my spouse an unspoken plan of solitude⁵. I would keep the exit door open⁶ and I would hide income to prepare my secret desires⁷, because distrust would have taken the place of covenant.

✨ If I were not sure of seeing the goodness of God, I would hoard money without scruples⁸ and I would have no restraint before compromises with no decency or fear⁹. I would defy every law for a heartless luxury, reeking of contempt for the robbed people¹⁰.

✨ If I were not sure of seeing the goodness of God, I would live with insomnia because of threats and their traces¹¹. I would tremble at the call of God with a covering of fig leaves¹², ready to flee¹³ or to accuse¹⁴ rather than to repent.

✨ But His goodness is here¹⁵. It offers me authenticity and truth, it brings me peace¹⁶ and courage¹⁷ to face the shadows of every valley¹⁸. It keeps me on the hill¹⁹ where He established me to shine²⁰. It is from there that I see what no eye has seen and what no ear has heard²¹. What had not entered the heart of man, God has accomplished².
Those who found godly vows ridiculous²³ have become false friends²⁴.

The goodness of the Lord is sure!....²⁵

THEY WILL BE DISAPPOINTED
Psalm 27:12¹
❝ Do not surrender me to my foes’ desire, For lying witnesses against me conspire, And men who breathe violence fill the air.❞

──━──┙🛡️┕──━──

🧎🏿‍♂️ God won’t grant them their pleasure²
He won’t fulfill their evil measure
To see you broken and worn thin.
He won’t deliver you to their sin.
For the righteous are never forsaken³

🧎🏾‍♀️ Their lying rumors will fail⁴
Though they try to spread their tale
Truth will rise and make it right
Even if it gives them fright.
For the truth of the Lord endures forever⁵

🧎🏿‍♂️ The thirst they have to see you fall⁶
Will be the cause of their own downfall
All who plot in secret union
Will end in shame and great confusion.
For he who digs a pit will fall⁷

🧎🏾‍♀️ If my pain is what they pray⁸
And they find no rest night or day
Their evil hope is nothing but a lie
That will pierce their hearts when dreams die.
For hope in the Lord won’t delay⁹

🧎🏿‍♂️ Let no one think that God would¹⁰
Hand me over for their games of blood
For petty wagers and wicked schemes
Have no place in His holy realms.
For God is not a man that He should lie¹

🧎🏾‍♀️ If this spoils their week through
It won’t dim the beauty in mine or yours too.
From the joy of the lionesses who win
Let every cursing tongue be silent within¹²
For no weapon formed against us shall succeed¹³

DIFFERENCE
Psalm 27:11¹
❝ Lord! Teach me your way, lead me in the path of uprightness, because of my enemies.❞

──━──┙🤲🏾┕──━──

✨ What is the connection between fighting your enemies and staying on the path of uprightness? It’s that separation from God, caused by sin, limits His interventions on our behalf. As Isaiah said, His hand is not too short to save us, it is our sins that form a barrier².

✨ Balaam and Balak understood this. After failing to curse Israel, they resolved to make them fall into sin³. Their goal was to pierce the breastplate of righteousness — which is the warrior’s armor — so that the enemy could gain access⁴.

✨ It is therefore crucial to watch over your ways to keep God’s favor intact. A wise enemy will always try to make you like him: he will push you toward bitterness, anger, revenge, and wickedness⁵. You may believe your reaction is legitimate because you were offended first, but by becoming cunning, you become vulnerable⁶.

✨ Evil is never approved by God, even under the pretext that it is justifiable. Yet, this uprightness is not merely human performance, but the fruit of grace which, by transforming us, makes us able to persevere on this path. The rule of _“an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth”_ excludes you from mercy and delivers you to your own power struggle⁷.

✨ So choose: between divine intervention and your own, which is more effective? Before you carry out your plan to harm your enemies, remember that uprightness also means resisting the call of pain that tells you to repay evil for evil⁸. An evil committed by a good person is still evil. Do not become, for anything in the world, what you do not approve of⁹.
Enjoy your weekend.

PROUD
Psalm 27:10¹
❝ For my father and my mother have forsaken me, but the Lord will take me in.❞

──━──┙🌐┕──━──

✨ Making others proud and being useful have become the currency of our various relationships². Yesterday, someone boasting about the achievements of the goalkeeper of the Cameroon women's national football team said: _“my sister from Bipindi”_. Before that, who was she? What was she worth? Who knew her? Who cared about her³?

✨ We often think that in the family, performance is less required. Yet, more or less consciously, we demand that people fit into molds, adopt certain behaviors, subscribe to contributions, even to rituals, in order to be legitimized⁴. Otherwise, we are treated like a prodigal son, but without the hope of welcome that the father in the parable assured⁵. So where is the place where welcome and affection are unconditional? Not always the Church in practice ⁶.

✨ In principle, may be. In practice, I’m not telling you anything new. Without "added value" and other proven things, without conformity to doctrines as nuanced and diverse as we have strong leaders, the risk of rejection is all the greater because the threats are attached to a place in eternity⁷.

✨ The surest anchor of selflessness remains the Lord⁸. At least in David’s view. I agree with him. To express it better, he compares God’s welcome to the most pre-existing affection we should have: that of a father and mother, who persevere, if not out of love, at least out of duty⁹.

✨ Alas, there is no guarantee of being understood anywhere else as much as by our Creator. Do not think that He requires nothing. But even when requirements are not met, He is still willing to give an opportunity to anchor yourself¹⁰. Where man reaches the limit of his patience, God still has the resources to do it all over again. Don’t go on believing that your case is too hopeless and your cause is lost. *God is still willing to transform you.

DIRECT LINE
Psalm 27:8¹
❝ My heart says of You: Seek My face! Your face, Lord, I will seek.❞

──━──┙☎️┕──━──

📠 Sometimes God speaks to you by the Holy Spirit², even through your own mouth. There are matters so personal that He prefers to entrust them to you directly³, rather than go through prophets or preachers⁴, so as not to stay in generalities and to protect your privacy. This does not take away the importance of the prophetic ministry and teaching⁵, which are gifts from God to build up the Church. But to receive precise daily guidance, it matters to draw near to God yourself in order to discern His voice⁶.

📠 Such a speech sounds like foolishness to the religious and stupidity to the rationalists⁷. Yet the children of God understand them perfectly⁸. Maybe it’s time to ask others what their relationship with God actually looks like. Do you have conversations with Him, or monologues full of piety reciting pre-written prayers to a distant God? Have you ever considered having a dialogue with the Creator? Imagine all you could gain from it.

📠 What more sincere counselor could you find⁹? What more far-sighted seer could you have? What more discreet friend? What more complete physician¹⁰? What would men not give to meet powerful and competent people in so many areas? Meeting God only costs you seeking His face with fervor, humility, and sincerity¹¹. I invite you to this experience that will make you love and cherish His company. You will move from formatted speeches about the Christian life to an unprecedented story with the God who gave Jesus Christ as the bridge between Him and you¹². Why neglect such a beautiful opportunity?
