*IT’S UP TO US*

Psalm 25:9¹
❝ *He guides the humble in what is right and teaches them his way.❞*

─━─━──┙🕊️┕──━─━─

🔮How can we learn, how can we see²
If we spin webs of prejudice endlessly?
With hearts shut tight and spirits confined,
We block the truth meant to refine.

🔮How can we be led, how can we know
If pride keeps our heads lifted high, though
We miss the blaze of light so bright
From the Incomparable Eternal’s might?³

🔮How, without meekness, without grace⁴
Can we inherit His kingdom, find our place?
Not warring with passions that rise in strife⁵
Against the paths that lead to life.

🔮How can we have peace, how can we rest
If truth from God we don’t think best?
Of no use, no worth in our own sight,
While only He gives joy, pure delight?⁶

🔮It’s up to us, it’s ours to choose:
To say He’s worthless, or seek and lose
Our pride, and run for help, grace and forgiveness⁷
So we see the Lord can show mercy and kindness ⁸

INTEGRITY

Psalm 25:8¹
❝ The LORD is good and upright: therefore He instructs sinners in His ways.❞

─━─━──┙⚖️┕──━─━─
🔮It should be unthinkable to question the integrity of God. Yet many venture to defame Him. Worse still, some claim atheism, even though we’ve found it incoherent to put so much energy into fighting the One they say does not exist².

🔮This freedom to approve Him, to acclaim Him, or to disown Him gives another meaning and another weight to the deliberate choice to worship GOD³. David too, one of His most fervent worshippers, takes the time to say that the LORD is good and upright⁴. It is all the more striking that the previous stanza of the psalm alluded to the sins of his youth, which he hoped God would not dwell on⁵.

🔮The one who honors God examines his actions while keeping in mind His uprightness. The one who defies Him blames Him even when obvious faults cry out for His justice. In the face of the wages of sin, the worshipper seeks to discern the way God shows, even through discipline⁶. He seeks the way out, the path, the exit toward light, toward restoration.

🔮Even when he suffers hardships, he considers their merit rather than accusing God. That is why some come out of trials grown and closer to Him, while others come out bitter and rebellious.

🔮Yet to vilify God does not take away His majesty and glory. He is not made of human words. He is the Word, the Word by whom all things were made⁷. What arrogance for creatures to judge their Creator! The stubbornness of their hardened hearts will deprive them of eternal joy. Their hearts, closed to God’s way, will enroll them among His critics.

🔮They have no excuse or extenuating circumstances, for the same standard is given to all⁸. If some humbly repent of their faults and transgressions, then let those who persist in defying God bear themselves the responsibility for their ruin⁹. How will He be good to you if you do not believe in His uprightness and His good intentions in everything, including what displeases you?

God, come to my aid. Blot out my sins.🧎🏿

THE PERSPECTIVE
Psalm 25:7
❝ Remember not the sins of my youth or my transgressions; according to your steadfast love remember me, for the sake of your goodness, O LORD!¹❞

━──┙🙌🏿┕──━

✨ The divine approach is subject to criticism. You are not unaware that many criticize God. He has detractors, one of whose grievances concerns the principle of mercy. Why acquit a guilty person? Well, because of His goodness.

✨ He had to ask, at the end of a parable about punctual and faithful workers who resented the wages given to workers who arrived later: “Do you begrudge my generosity?”² Was He not saying, “Do I not have the right to be kind or tolerant?”

✨ In the minds of those who harp on faults and transgressions without concluding that they can be forgiven, there is an underlying idea of salvation or honor by merit. Who would deserve what when no one is perfect, except God Himself?³ The anger of those offended by forgiveness comes from an insinuation: some have rights that others do not deserve, because of something stemming from the efforts of the so-called “better ones”.

✨ What is often forgotten is that the time when God calls is no more in our control than the time when a heart is ready to open to Him.⁴ So, if He has not clung to our faults, why should He inscribe those of our neighbor into eternity?⁵ “They are more serious,” you will say. Who sets the gravity to exclude from forgiveness? Is it you?

✨ Because of these judgments, David moves forward with the reminder of dark episodes and finds himself imagining God rummaging through his past and his youth. God is not vindictive, much less secretive.⁶ When it was necessary to act after the episode of Uriah’s wife taken by David, He did it without evasion.⁷ When it was necessary to restrict David’s ministry regarding the construction of the temple, He gave him an open and concrete refusal.⁸ It is with the same frankness that, appreciating his ability to recognize his mistakes and obey the instructions he could know, God appreciated his attitude and state of mind.⁹

✨ Are you there, rehashing the past under the accusing finger of those who knew your transgressions? Do not take God for a man.¹⁰ When He forgives, He forgives. It is not 2026 and He is not keeping a notebook of your faults as a teenager, child, or youth. I am not speaking only in terms of age and maturity. I am also speaking of days of inexperience at work, in responsibilities, in your couple life, in your family obligations, of everything you may have done before you understood, before you learned. You bore the consequences in your time following those things.¹ Why, after having learned the lessons, would you think that God clings to those transgressions to deprive you, in your new season, of today’s opportunities? Move forward with Him, for He is merciful and good.

MISQUOTE
Psalm 25:6

❝ Remember, O LORD, your great mercy and love, for they are from of old❞¹

───┙❄️┕─━─

💡 "Once saved, always saved" misquotes verses like today’s². We add "God does not repent of His gifts"³, mix in His goodness, and conclude that a simple prayer secures our place. Christians even call it "new birth".

💡 But the new birth makes us a new creation⁴ with power to become God’s children⁵. It gives capacity to resist evil and the flesh⁶. Old Testament saints didn’t have this. That’s why Jesus says His sacrifice is enough to bring us to paradise, no matter the world’s challenges He has overcome⁷.

💡 No free pass for carelessness. Mercy and goodness are eternal, so once in paradise Christ won’t retract your admission⁸. He won’t turn back. He owns those who own Him⁹.

💡 Yet He still warns: He will deny those ashamed of Him¹⁰. "Elfsiba, always a killjoy"? Would you prefer lies about hell, or truth and clarity?

💡 Better to please God and be free from judgment. We share His Word with fear and trembling¹, even as He limits who should teach¹². I know, NOBLE PEOPLE, you love truth.

Have an excellent week.

HIS TRUTH OR YOURS?
Psalm 25:5

❝ Lead me in your truth and teach me, for you are the God of my salvation; for you I wait all the day long ❞¹

───┙❣️┕─━─

💡 For eight years of daily morning meditation sharing, with no denominational tint, I’ve seen as many hearts embrace as hearts conspire against. Among those who conspire, I was struck by those who defend "their truth"². They fear that a verse from elsewhere will disturb their religious protocol. A word other than that of their prophet, their priest, their pastor becomes a denial of their system. So they don’t bother to test the truth³ : they harden.

💡 I realized that so-called Christians have the biggest deficit of neutrality and childlike heart⁴ before the Scriptures. How does a 2-minute exegesis become a threat? What is your degree of openness beyond homilies, prejudices, slanders against churches left, forgets that in every Christian circle there is tares and there is wheat⁵?

💡 I’ve seen many practice piety while denying its power⁶. Many claim to love God with an allergy to His Writings. Many defend truth while actually defending their truth, more precisely the truth of the man of God that suits them⁷. Anything labeled "from elsewhere" disturbs them. Their door is open to their preference, but closed to the Word.

💡 Without claiming to be its custodian, we have recently been adding biblical references to our texts. To remind our sometimes resistant hearts that it’s not about pleasing or displeasing anyone, but to examine what God prescribes, predicts, recommends, warns against. For it is salvation we seek through His truth⁸. It is in Him that the humble, the meek, the simple-hearted place their hope⁹. For others, they defend Paul, Apollos¹⁰. They defend themselves.

💡 Yet the Lord, in saying "encourage one another"¹, had a view far broader than the little voices of canonized, baptized, confirmed egos, speaking in tongues and defending titles. He also calls us to make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace¹. The King of glory does not enter a divided house. He seeks eternal doors: hearts open to His Truth and to His unity.

💡 Who then makes Your truth a priority, Lord? Help us grasp the desires of Your heart to do Your pleasure. Amen.🧎🏿

Have a blessed weekend, Noble People.

DISCERN

Psalm 25:4¹
❝ Make me to know your ways, O Lord; teach me your paths.❞
─━──┙◆┕──━─
🧭It may seem dull to say that being guided by God is the only way to good business, a fulfilling love life and every other situation that gratifies you, but it is true². When the Bible says Jesus is the way, the truth and the life, we often think of the salvation of the new convert³. Yet Jesus is also the Way of every day⁴.

🧭The mature Christian reads the verse that says the spiritual man discerns all things⁵ and forgets that every step, every morning, is a new choice to say yes or no to the way, to the voice of God. Worse, the voices that claim to be inspired by God only multiply⁶. The potential for confusion grows.

🧭Even some prophets are no longer a reliable source of their oracles as they chase fame and the applause of crowds⁷. Yet every day many suffer their bad choices and perish because of wrong decisions⁸.

🧭Who will find happiness? The one to whom God shows the green pastures and who does not evaluate them by his own covetousness, like Lot⁹. The one who will not marry a woman for the beauty of her skin, who can say no when the Lord commands it, beyond the beating of his heart, will find the promised happiness¹⁰.

🧭Not all marriages are happy. Not all businesses prosper. But when the Lord tells Peter which direction to cast the nets, abundance shows up in the recession¹. So if you think with arrogance that you can direct your steps on your own, without consulting Him, you will face many troubles you will regret¹². The choice is yours.

THE CAUSES

_Psalm 25:3_¹
❝ None of those who wait on You shall be ashamed; shame shall be on those who deal treacherously without cause.❞

─━──┙◆┕──━─
🔏One of the great questions of faith is whether there are circumstances and positions that justify and excuse sin². A bit like talking about mitigating circumstances in court.

🔏Agur, son of Jakeh, in a prayer, said: “Lest I be poor and steal”³. Yet elsewhere, the same theft is treated as inexcusable⁴.

🔏Naaman said he was obliged to accompany his king when he bows before Dagon, because he leans on his shoulder⁵. The great question is whether the exercise of his duties will not be assimilated to occultism⁶.

🔏Things are not always as obvious as they seem. Take for example: what do you think Joseph’s responsibility was in Potiphar’s house? Imagine for a moment that he sends him to find a woman to put in his bed, would he preach to him like John the Baptist to Herodias until losing his life⁷? I may seem to be saying that we must sometimes endure circumstances beyond our control, but I must remind you that there are times when a clear and firm “no” becomes necessary⁸.

🔏Naaman is the support, he does not bow down himself. Daniel and his companions will clearly say no before the emperor’s statue⁹. Mordecai will keep his dignity while others lick Haman’s boots¹⁰.

🔏So when today’s verse speaks of those who deal treacherously without cause and will be put to shame, it is not to tell us to condone unfaithfulness under certain conditions and to promote a diluted Gospel in the name of inability to do otherwise¹. There are alternatives to favors, to peace built on vices that we must openly reject to affirm our faith¹². Will we obey God or men¹³?

🔏Every time you stand for the truth, you have the right to God’s help¹⁴. He commits Himself not to put you to shame¹⁵. However, He does not say that you will be spared the persecutions related to it¹⁶. In the end, though, you will triumph like Nehemiah, Moses, Shadrach, Meshach, Gideon, Jesus and many other heroes of faith¹⁷. So do not lie in the name of “we cannot do without it” and extinguish your light in the name of fleeing retaliation¹⁸. Where is the cross you bear if you endure nothing for the sake of the Gospel¹⁹? Endure, while the unfaithful receive God’s sentences²⁰. “My Redeemer shall stand at last”²¹ Job who thought he was forgotten will say. Same to you . May your Redeemer make you faithful and may He rise! Amen.

THE CANDIDATES
_Psalm 25:2_
❝ My God! In you I trust: let me not be put to shame! Let not my enemies exult over me!¹❞

━──┙💡┕──━

🔑 The confusion of your enemies is a matter of your faith. Imagine that incantations destroy your prayer: the one who casts them will believe Satan stronger than God². Imagine that your hope leads you to ruin: the witnesses of your daily life will mock your faith³.

🔑 When the glory of God breaks forth, the nations fear Him⁴. By word of mouth the news of the goodness of the Lord spreads, and it is an encouragement for those who hesitated and a judgment for those who hoped to destroy you⁵. Do you think God is not conscious enough to separate the one who serves Him from the one who does not?⁶

🔑 Just as He separates the wheat from the tares, He separates the godly from the injurious⁷. He distinguishes those who keep His commandments from those who take them as constraints to their detriment⁸. We must discern, not to make life rosy, but to put in their place those who take His word for vain prose.

🔑 Has it not been said: “Let the one who is unjust still be unjust, and the filthy still be filthy; and let the righteous still practice righteousness, and the holy still be holy”?⁹ It was to tell us to be whole with God, to remind us that He is never fooled, while still giving each one time to choose¹⁰.

🔑 We do not neglect the awareness of what is at stake and the immense privileges of children of God, one of which is to have His enemies under His feet¹. If you have often wondered why it is in vain that you persecute them, here is the reason. It is up to you to take the right side. Not for them, because they do well without your faith. If you must carry your cross, it is to walk with Christ who loved us first¹², to find peace and escape the wrath to come¹³. What have you gained by hating His people, except the bitterness of it? If you love yourself, cling to God while His hand is still stretched out to those willing¹⁴.
