We keep praying for their souls to rest in peace
💔😢"Infidelity is not just a ca•rnal sin. It is a crack in the soul" - Grace Decca
Makossa legend Grace Decca speaks out following the Nkolbisson tragedy in which a woman k•illed her 3 children and later took her own l!fe. Her reason: cheat!ng and irresponsible husband.
Grace Decca 🗣
“Today I speak with a voice I hardly recognize.
A heavy voice. A dark voice. A voice filled with grief.
Three children.
Three breaths torn from the world.
Three gazes that will never grow.
A mother took them with her in her fall.
A man lost them in his recklessness.
And we, as a society, looked the other way while the fire smoldered.
Don't rush to judge.
Don't rush to excuse either.
First, contemplate the h0rror.
Infidelity is not just a carnal sin.
It is a crack in the soul.
When a man betrays.
When a woman betrays.
When respect dies.
When humiliation becomes a daily occurrence.” When the light at home goes out while the light outside shines brightly.
When pride replaces responsibility.
Then the home ceases to be a refuge.
It becomes an invisible battlefield.
But listen to me carefully:
Nothing. Absolutely nothing.
Justifies taking a child's life.
A child is not revenge.
A child is not a message.
A child is not a settling of scores.
A child is a promise.
And when a promise is broken by the madness of adults incapable of self-control, it is an entire nation that should mourn.
We have normalized infidelity.
We have glorified double lives.
We have laughed at the pain of broken homes.
We have called “strength” what was only cowardice.
And today, three coffins look down upon us.
I am an artist, yes.
But I am also a mother.
I am also a woman.
And I refuse to let our mismanaged passions become tombs for our children.
If love destroys you, leave.
If respect is dead, separate.
If pain consumes you, ask for help.
But never sacrifice innocence.
Today I do not sing.
Today I weep.
And my tears are not weakness—
they are a warning.
May this tragedy not become a mere topic of commentary.
May it become a lesson etched into our consciences.
