At least 90 Palestinians Death Recorded in Israeli School Strike
The ongoing conflict in Gaza has seen yet another devastating escalation as an Israeli airstrike targeted a school in Gaza City, resulting in the deaths of at least 90 Palestinians. The Al-Tabi’in school, located in the Al-Daraj neighborhood, was being used as a temporary shelter for displaced individuals when it was struck overnight into Saturday August 10. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) stated that the school housed a Hamas command center, which they claimed was used for planning attacks against Israel. However, this strike marks the fifth time in a week that a school in Gaza has been targeted.
The humanitarian crisis in Gaza continues to deepen, with nearly 40,000 Palestinians killed and over 90,000 injured since the start of Israeli military actions. The UN has expressed horror at the repeated strikes on schools, calling attention to the escalating attacks on civilian infrastructure.
