Keeping the community informed

The lord Mayor of Nkambe Council, honorable Nfor Musa Shey visits the Donga Mantung Community Radio (D.M.C.R) FM 105.1 on the 27th of February with some technicians to ascertain the urgent needs of the radio in order to continue the improvement on the functionality of the radio, which he started immediately he took office as Mayor five years ago.

Opened in the year 2006, DMCR has been the only radio entraining the population of Donga Mantung and neighbouring divisions and country, Nigeria. Because of lack of electricity, DMCR has been on a decline as it is not always on. The waves too have not been going as far as before. The mayor's visit to the site will mean a lot to the submissive population of Donga Mantung and its environs.

The lord mayor assures the population that the old structure will be renovated this year and the solar system which is more than five years old will be replaced with a new one to improve on the energy source following the absence of Electricity in Donga Mantung for close to 8 years.
