The wild man, or Sarvàn, is a particularly widespread myth in the Alps and other European mountain regions. In numerous legends, the Sarvàn has the distinctive characteristics of the archetype of the "cultural hero", that is, the one who taught something
fundamental to "civilized" peoples. On a symbolic level, he represents the dark part of the self, which we have difficulties to access, unless through the languages of art. Inspired by the tradition of the Third Theatre of Grotowski and Barba, Sarvàn Teater translates the myth into a concrete theatre-pedagogy project in order to bring the Wild Man back into contact with the rest of society. Out of the metaphor, Sarvàn Teater's theatre pedagogy aims to re-establish a link with the "shadow" part within each of us - represented by the wild man - which contains many aspects that our society often asks us to suppress, but which, in truth, offer numerous access points to knowledge. Examples of these are our need to play, the corporeal nature of our instinctive and emotional reactions, the capacity of listening to our inner rhythms and our associative logics. Sarvàn Teater does not distinguish between amateurs and professionals. Anyone wishing to participate in its laboratories and workshops can do so. What is required is a sincere desire to get involved in the work and an authentic commitment to the activities. Regardless of the degree of experience, the approach of Sarvàn Teater appeals to our inner desire to play to reawaken the instincts and potentialities of the body that our sedentary lifestyles leave dormant. This has the purpose of liberating first, and ultimately controlling, those creative forces that daily life does not give space to explore. Michele Luchetti is a theatre instructor and a researcher in philosophy based in Lausanne. He trained at several theatre schools in Milan (Italy) and at Odin Teatret/Nordisk Teaterlaboratorium in Holstebro (Denmark). In 2021 he qualified as a theatre pedagogist and founded Sarvàn Teater to offer theatre laboratories and workshops.

L'homme sauvage, ou Sarvàn, est un mythe particulièrement répandu dans les Alpes et dans d'autres régions montagneuses européennes. Dans de nombreuses légendes, le Sarvàn a les caractéristiques distinctives de l'archétype du «héros culturel», c'est-à-dire celui qui a enseigné quelque chose de fondamental aux peuples «civilisés». Sur le plan symbolique, il représente la partie sombre de soi, à laquelle nous avons du mal à accéder, sauf à travers les langages de l'art. Inspiré de la tradition du Troisième Théâtre de Grotowski et Barba, Sarvàn Teater traduit le mythe en projet concret de pédagogie théâtrale afin de remettre l'homme sauvage en contact avec le reste de la société. Plus explicitement, la pédagogie théâtrale de Sarvàn Teater vise à l’apprivoisement de la «partie d’ombre» qui nous habit - représentée par l'homme sauvage - qui contient de nombreux aspects que notre société nous demande souvent de supprimer, mais qui, en vrai, offrent de nombreux points d'accès à la connaissance. Par exemple, on y découvre son besoin de jouer, la nature corporelle de ses réactions instinctives et émotionnelles, la capacité d'écouter ses rythmes intérieurs et ses logiques associatives. Sarvàn Teater ne fait pas de distinction entre amateurs et professionnels. Toute personne souhaitant participer aux laboratoires et aux ateliers que Sarvàn Teater propose, peut le faire. Ce qui est demandé, c'est un désir sincère de s'impliquer dans le travail et un engagement authentique dans les activités. Quel que soit le degré d'expérience, l'approche de Sarvàn Teater fait appel à notre désir intérieur de jouer pour réveiller les instincts et les potentialités du corps que nos modes de vie sédentaires laissent en sommeil. Cela a pour but de libérer d'abord, et finalement de contrôler, ces forces créatrices que la vie quotidienne ne permet pas d’explorer. Michele Luchetti est enseignant de théâtre et chercheur en philosophie basé à Lausanne. Il s'est formé dans plusieurs écoles de théâtre à Milan (Italie) et à l’Odin Teatret / Nordisk Teaterlaboratorium à Holstebro (Danemark). En 2021, il obtient le titre de pédagogue théâtral et fonde Sarvàn Teater afin d’offrir des laboratoires et des ateliers de théâtre.

Quello del Sarvàn o Uomo Selvatico è un mito della tradizione alpina e di altre zone montane europee. In numerose leggende, l’uomo selvatico ha i caratteri distintivi dell’archetipo dell’“eroe culturale”, ossia colui che ha insegnato qualcosa di fondamentale alle genti “civili”. A livello simbolico, rappresenta la parte oscura del sé, a cui abbiamo difficile accesso, se non attraverso i linguaggi dell’arte. Ispirandosi alla tradizione del terzo teatro di Grotowski e Barba, Sarvàn Teater traduce il mito in un concreto progetto di pedagogia teatrale al fine di riportare l’Uomo Selvatico in contatto con il resto della società. Fuor di metafora, la pedagogia teatrale di Sarvàn Teater mira a ristabilire un legame con la parte “d’ombra” dentro ognuno di noi – rappresentata dall’uomo selvatico – che racchiude molti aspetti che la nostra società spesso ci chiede di sopprimere, ma che in realtà offrono numerose chiavi di accesso alla conoscenza: il bisogno di giocare, la natura corporea delle nostre reazioni istintive e emotive, l’ascolto dei ritmi interiori, le logiche associative. Sarvàn Teater non fa distinzione tra amatori e professionisti. Chiunque desideri partecipare ai laboratori e workshop può farlo. Ciò che viene richiesto ai partecipanti è un sincero desiderio di mettersi in gioco nel lavoro teatrale e l’impegno al massimo delle proprie possibilità. Indipendentemente dal grado di esperienza, l'approccio di Sarvàn Teater fa appello al nostro desiderio interiore di giocare per risvegliare gli istinti e le potenzialità del corpo che i nostri stili di vita sedentari lasciano sopiti. Questo ha lo scopo di liberare prima, e infine controllare, quelle forze creative che la vita quotidiana non dà spazio per esplorare. Michele Luchetti è insegnante di teatro e ricercatore in filosofia e vive a Losanna. Si è formato presso diverse scuole di teatro a Milano (Italia) e presso l'Odin Teatret /Nordisk Teaterlaboratorium a Holstebro (Danimarca). Nel 2021 si è diplomato come pedagogista teatrale e ha fondato Sarvàn Teater per offrire workshop e laboratori teatrali.
