Be quick. As Bandcamp is applying some changes we don't agree with, we are forced to stop selling digital media via this platform by January 2026.

Acquit Records will invest one last time in various GREAT vinyl releases in 2026 and 2027.

Unfortunately, although the response was good so far, the sales figures were insufficient on almost all the releases. EDIT: "figures" = number of sold records. We don't care about the money.

None of the steps taken are regretted. No, on the contrary, Acquit Records is proud at a time when pretending and faking seems to move the masses more than honest hard work.

But we have to realistically acknowledge that new and experimental work nowadays only enjoys a very small audience.
Society has changed a lot. And we prefer to watch and smile rather than fight and get upset.

We will also stop supporting Bandcamp / Digital media by the end of 2025, especially because the sales figures were even worse than those of vinyl records. It was never our intention to support this form of "digital culture", as it destroyed the culture on the artists' side decades ago. We don't dance with the devil anymore.
