Could Torune Aburame Actually Defeat Fū Yamanaka?
What happens when two Root ANBU who know each other’s abilities are forced into a fight to the death? Torune Aburame likely has the advantage over Fū Yamanaka, and the reason is terrifying.
Torune’s greatest weapon is the microscopic rinkaichū, or nano-beetles, living inside his body. These insects can attack living cells and cause severe damage through physical contact. That means Torune doesn’t need a complicated finishing move. One mistake in close combat could end the fight.
Fū, however, is far from helpless. As a Yamanaka, he specializes in sensory abilities and mental techniques. His Mind Transfer Puppet Curse Jutsu allows him to manipulate an opponent through a puppet, giving him a way to attack without simply rushing into Torune’s lethal range.
But there’s a major problem.
Both men were Root operatives who worked together, meaning Fū would already understand how dangerous Torune’s body is. Torune would also know Fū’s mental techniques and weaknesses.
So this battle becomes a contest of distance and timing.
If Fū keeps his range and successfully lands a mental technique, he has a real chance. But if Torune closes the distance, Fū could be one touch away from defeat.
In a direct fight, Torune’s lethal defense gives him the edge.
