Naruto vs Sasuke wasn’t just one fight… it was a rivalry that kept shifting the entire series

At the end of Shippuden, Sasuke went all out—Nine-Tailed Beast Susanoo, full power, no holding back. Meanwhile, Naruto was fighting to save him, not destroy him. That alone says a lot.

But if we look back, their strength wasn’t always one-sided.

Early on, Sasuke clearly had the edge—more skilled, more focused, and way ahead during Part 1. Even at the Valley of the End, he was stronger in that moment.

Then Naruto caught up fast. With Sage Mode, he started to surpass Sasuke, especially during the Pain arc.

But Sasuke closed that gap again with the Mangekyo Sharingan, pushing them back to near equals.
