We are a family owed business living in spectacular Yellowknife, NWT.
My name is Meagan and I enjoy sewing in my free time. I am always up for a challenge at trying to create anything and challenge myself to learn how to make things. I love to be able to reach out to elders and fellow sewers for advice, tips and tricks and the know hows.
I am a Inuvialuit beneficiary from the Inuvik Beaufort Delta region. I was given a needle and thread at a very young age in elementary Inuvialuktun language class by my teacher, Mrs. Albert, and was given material to sew and bead. I was raised around all sorts of indigenous arts/ crafts and clothing from all over the NWT as my mother worked at Northen Images in Invuik and I fell in love with the crafts.
My granny on my mothers (Alice Hardy) side from Tulita, NWT made a living on selling her traditional clothing and footwear and I believe that’s were I get it from. The love of sewing.
I started this journey with only sewing for my family over the years, but have finally decided to share my creations with everyone.
I will have items for sale here and there and can work with you on some customs creations.
