AudiArts Festival

AudiArts will not be continuing as an annual festival as was hoped. Although there has been a wide interest and support from local artists to perform on-stage audio/radio dramas, there has not been enough production support for a stand-alone festival in this genre, at this time.
I would especially like to thank Andrew Davidson/Gargoyle Theatre for all his support, guidance, publicity, and introductions to the local arts community and Rebecca Dridger/Rebecca Dridger Media for her creativity and her patience with me in setting up the AudiArts on-line presence.
I would also like to thank all who shared their questions, ideas, and insights through the Talk Back participation, numerous emails, and ‘What If’ scenarios. And finally, a big thanks to the casts and crews who participated in the inaugural AudiArts Festival along with the audience that turned out to see them.

I am sooo glad I have secured my tickets for all 4 weeks of this Festival. I knew they would be going fast. Where else can we see such great local talent come together in one great location. Don't miss out. Get your tickets while you can.

This new festival in Winnipeg is reviving the Little Theatre Movement

“We need something to look forward to,” she says, “We need a nice dark cozy spot to go and have a pint and see a great show.”

The Little Theatre Festival premiers in Winnipeg in February. It’s intended to cushion the winter dip in programming for the city and is a collaboration between eight Canadian theatre companies.

After a 20-year run, the Royal Manitoba Theatre Centre’s Master Playwright Festival came to an end in 2020. Its programming, running through January, used to fill the winter season with local talent and new stories.

Little Theatre Festival begins its programming on February 6 at the Irish Association of Manitoba (654 Erin St)
