In this painting, I wanted to capture the quiet poetry of movement, a lone dancer gliding across the water, her fans tracing delicate gestures through the air. Soft washes of muted colours create a dreamlike atmosphere, while the textured edges evoke the feeling of an ancient memory slowly emerging.
