The Peculiar Pirate Paul had a fantastical time entertaining the amazing crowd with the Optimist Club of South Windsor at their Picnic in The Park event. Its always an honor to take part in an event that brings the community together for a great cause, and the community REALLY showed up for this event.
From impressive selection of local vendors, to the professional social media coverage from Amazing Acrylics and More, and ofcourse the stunning fireworks display.
It was truly a night to remember.
And the Optimist Club is not done yet.
They have one more Picnic in The Park event planned for September 19th, and this time they are featuring a family movie night!
I'm happy to say that the Peculiar Pirate Paul will be returning to perform TWO more magic shows. I hope you'll join us.

What a fantastical event today at the Optimist Club of South Windsor Picnic in the Park series. So much food was donated to support our community, and tons of fun was had by everyone.

I cant perform magic without thinking of my magic mentor, Lyall Cousins. Lyall sadly passed away last year.
The first attached picture is the last picture we took together. He was helping me raise awareness of the food drive efforts on Windsor Essex County as we supported the Optimist Club of South Windsor and their first annual Picnic in The Park Series.
This year I'm helping out again, and due to a last minute change of scheduling, I'll be performing two shows instead of one. Despite my hurried preparations, I can hear him laughing in my ear.
"Don't worry. Now you don't have to try and cut anything out. Everything makes it into tge show!"
The second pic is the photo I keep in Pirate Paul's treasure chest. It reminds me that hes still there with me on stage. Last year I performed through grief.
This year I'll perform with JOY.
This is what he's prepared me for.

The Peculiar Pirate Paul is on his way back from vacation! Hes riding the hightides, and filling his sails with magical winds to make it back in time.
Pirate Paul will be performing not one, but TWO fantastical magic shows for the community.
Be sure to bring your non perishable food items to help support The Optimist Club of South Windsor, as well as Feeding Windsor and the Downtown Windsor Community Collaborative (DWCC).
Can wait to see you there, at Optimist Park from 6-9.
