When my Uncle Lyall passed away, I inherited his magic collection.
I could think of no better way to honor his memory, and continue his legacy than to go through his collection; trick by trick, and share it with all of you.
What better time to share the first episode of this adventure than on his birthday.

Started reading this treasure from my uncle's collection today. Showmanship for Magicuans by Dariel Fitzkee. Originally published in 1943, this is the fourth edition which was printed in 1945.
Its amazing that 80 years later, the information found here is still relevant to magicians and entertainers alike. I was surprised to learn that the book was even cited by Steve Martin in his memoir "Born Standing Up". Mr Martin described the book as "more important to me than Catcher in The Rye".

We had the honor of providing caricatures at the wedding of Alissa and Trevor Brockman back in September.
It was a truly amazing night.
Great to do what I love with my dad, Paul Cousins.
Awesome to see two great people pledge their love for eachother.
