Williams Lake's Wild West Riders The Wild West Riders are a grand entry team located in the heart of the Cariboo. Join us as we share "The Thrill of Drill."

Founded in 2012, the Wild West Riders is a team of riders and friends who perform and fly the sponsor flags at rodeos across the interior of BC. Rodeos we have preformed at in the past include the 2013 - 2022 Williams Lake Stampede, 2012-2022 Billy Barker Days and also the BCRA Finals in Quesnel, Clinton BCRA, 100 Mile House BCRA and the 100 Mile House Little Britches rodeo.

The Williams Lake Wild West Riders are headed back into our hometown arena for the Williams Lake Stampede and let’s be honest… nobody throws down a hometown performance quite like this crew.

Huge thank you to the Williams Lake Stampede Association for backing local riders year after year. It means something when your hometown believes in its own. ❤️

We’re not polished pageant queens — we’re dirt, horsepower, teamwork, and just enough attitude to keep it interesting. One of the fastest, funnest drill teams in the province and we’ve got arena dirt in our veins.

We’re not out here trying to prove we belong.

We are beyond honoured to once again open our hometown rodeo 🤍🐎

The Williams Lake Stampede isn’t just an event—it’s a tradition, a gathering, and a whole lot of heart packed into one incredible weekend. From the grandstands to the grounds, you can feel the pride, the energy, and the history in every moment.

A huge shoutout to the Stampede Board and all the volunteers who put in countless hours behind the scenes to make this happen year after year. What you create for this community is nothing short of amazing.

Whether you’re there for the rodeo action, the parade, the live music, or just catching up with friends—there truly is something for everyone.

🐎 Wild West Riders Drill Team – Open Practices 🐎

Interested in riding with the Wild West Riders Drill Team this season?

This year, we’re inviting riders to join us for open practices starting in March. There are no formal tryouts — open practices are a chance for riders to come out, ride with the team, get a feel for the drill, and decide if the team is the right fit for them. It also gives our coaches and riders an opportunity to get to know you and your horse in a supportive environment.

If you’re interested, please message this page directly.
Practice dates, times, and expectations will be shared privately with those who reach out.

We’re excited to welcome new riders and continue building the strong, inclusive culture this team is known for 💛

Please note: Riders must have a sound horse and be comfortable riding in a group setting. Additional details will be shared by message.
