Are you interested in guiding the future of Gwaandak Theatre’s artistic programming? We are seeking a new Artistic Director to lead us into the 2027/28 season and beyond!

We are hoping to have the incoming Artistic Director work alongside the current AD for the 2026/27 Season and be part of the Season’s 2027 Awaken Festival and 2027 Indigenous Summer Play Readings.

Application Deadline *Extended*: October 1st, 2026

Start Date: January 10th, 2027

Contract Term: January 10th 2027-June 30th 2027 (24 weeks) with option to renew on a permanent or multi-year contract starting July 1st, 2027

Place of Work: Whitehorse, Yukon Territory

Rate/Hours: $31.22 per hour (current Yukon living wage) / 30 hours per week

Benefits:
-Health benefits with dental
-2 Weeks Vacation (up to 4 weeks per year upon contract renewal)
-2% Cost of Living Adjustment (COLA) per year upon contract renewal

What an absolutely fantastic Tea Time by the Yukon River!

THANK YOU to everyone who supported our fund raising efforts over a tower of treats and a fresh cuppa tea! Whether you bought a ticket (or two) and showed up with your wonderful selves, donated, sponsored, baked or poured tea, you helped make the day a smashing success.

From the bottom of our teacups, thank you for believing in local theatre, supporting local artists, and being part of this wild little adventure we've been on for the past 10 years.

Here's to the next decade of stories worth telling... and probably a few more cups of tea along the way. ❤️

Listen to find out what amazing delicacies are being served at Larrikin's Tea Time fundraiser this Sunday, and the fantastic theatre experiences we’ll be serving up very soon!
