Bowlachili Cook-Off & Family Bowling Event

Hey folks, it's been a while hasn't it?
Unfortunately we've had to miss our annual Bowlachili event the past 2 years due to covid.
But, this year we are truly blessed and extremely grateful for the generosity of the Kingsway 5-Pin Bowling Association for generously donating $1,000 on behalf of the Bowlachili, to the Canadian Cancer Society!
Shown here are Karen Wall and Larry Lutz presenting the cheque to Rob Repovs, founder and organizer of the Bowlachili.
Thank you Kingsway 5-Pin Bowlers Association and to everyone who has helped us raise over $10,000 for the Canadian Cancer Society over the years.

Unfortunately, due to the Covid situation, after 10 years and almost $10,000 raised, I regret to inform everyone, that I just don't feel we can run the Annual Bowlachili in a safe and successful manner.
I will keep you informed, as we may consider setting up a small music event to raise funds for the Canadian Cancer Society, Wheels of Hope.

Please cherish every day you have on this earth. Stay safe, and please support local!

Well, here we are, the morning after, tired & sore but, feeling blessed, reflecting on the incredible love that was shared by everyone last night. We don't even know where to begin, or how we can possibly convey how much we appreciate all of you for joining us last night.
Congratulations to Gary Pizzacalla for defending his trophy and to all the contestants for creating THE best batch of chili's we've ever had. It was a close one!
We're still calculating and going over everything. This story will continue once we have all the info and totals, and when we can find the words.
For now, we just want to say, THANK YOU! ❤️

Let the games begin!!!
For tonight, 2 games of bowling, with shoes included is $10 and starts at 7pm. If you would also like to sample all the chili it's an additional $10. I promise you will not be disappointed!
Open mic will begin once we are all settled in and we have musicians present.
This year we are also having a penny sale! Don't worry, we are still giving away plenty of free stuff as well!!
We'll have a half & half draw, Lottery board and we have a raffle for a Shopper's Drug Mart basket worth about $400!!!

Rule #1, keep it sanitary!
Completed chili must be in a crock pot and delivered to Kingsway Lanes no later than 7pm.
Yes, I said completed! This is much different than past years.
You supply your own serving spoon, WE supply sample spoons, sample cups and napkins.
If you wish to provide certain additions such as cheese, bread, sour cream etc, feel free to do so!

Hey folks! We're only 3 weeks away from the 10th Annual Bowlachili! So far we only have 2 confirmed entries for the cook-off - Karen/Marlene and Loralee.
We are also looking for donations to the prize table, so if you are a local business or know someone who owns a local business, anything you can do to help us out is much appreciated!
And just a reminder that we will have live music this year and open mic, so if you're a musician, please stop by and join us for a few tunes!

Hey folks, we're 5 weeks away from the 10th Annual Bowlachili! We're keeping the cost of this event the same as it has been for several years now - $10 for bowling and $10 for chili tasting! We only have room for 10 pots of chili so if you plan to enter, please send me a message asap! Entries will be accepted on a first come first served basis. Your $10 entry fee MUST be received in order to guarantee your spot. Rules will be distributed once your entry fee is received. Looking forward to making this the best ever!

Since this is our 10th Annual Bowlachili, we're making some special plans! First up, an all night live music, Open Mic! I'll be bringing all my gear, we'll set it up, and anyone who wants to join in the fun is free to do so! So if you're an artist, a wanna be artist, or someone who just wants to give it a try, We're gonna make that happen!!! :-D
