It’s that time of year again! We’re getting the Forums ready for another great season, and we need everyone’s help! 🙌

Please bring squeegees or a pressure washer if you have one, rag and pail

⏰Drop In anytime
Details of what needs to be done will be on the whiteboard

📢 IMPORTANT: Each family is required to volunteer for one of the work bee days. Families who do not volunteer will be charged a $200 work bee fee.

Whether you can lend a hand for an hour or stay for the whole job, every helping hand makes a difference! 💪❤️

Request for Tender: Wawota Community Forum Caretaker:

The Wawota Rink Board is now accepting tenders for the position of Forum Caretaker for the upcoming rink season. The successful candidate will assume responsibilities beginning early September 2026.

Scope of Duties

The Caretaker will be responsible for the overall day-to-day operation, maintenance, and cleanliness of the Wawota Community Forum, including but not limited to:
Ice Maintenance
Routine ice flooding and resurfacing
Monitoring and maintaining ice quality throughout the season
Facility Maintenance
General upkeep of the building and rink equipment
Minor repairs and reporting of larger maintenance issues
Ensuring the facility is safe and operational at all times
Cleaning Responsibilities
Regular cleaning of dressing rooms, spectator areas, washrooms, and common spaces
Garbage removal and overall facility sanitation
Operations Management
Opening and closing the facility according to scheduled ice times
Monitoring usage and reporting concerns to the Rink Board
Additional Responsibilities
Maintaining supply inventories (cleaning products, equipment needs, etc.)
Communicating regularly with the Rink Board regarding operations and issues

The Rink Board is open to:
A single caretaker fulfilling all responsibilities, or
Multiple individuals sharing duties, depending on availability and interest
Interested parties are encouraged to inquire about flexible arrangements.

Tender Submission Details

Applicants should submit a written tender including:
Relevant experience (facility operations, ice maintenance, custodial work, etc.)
Proposed compensation or contract terms
Availability and preferred structure (full role or shared duties)

There is a large 10 team tournament at the rink this weekend March 27,28, and 29th and we are looking for some donations. We would ask if you are able to donate that the items be dropped off at the forum Thursday evening or Friday morning before 9.
