Our calendar is filling up from now right through to i-Land Fest 2027!

Along with some returning favourites, we’re excited to introduce a brand-new Mas Making Program: Moko Jumbie Edition, where participants will have the opportunity to learn the traditional Caribbean cultural art of stilt walking. More details and registration info coming soon!

And this isn’t everything. Our year-round Soca Fit program continues, plus we’re working on two possible new events for later this year and another for 2027. Stay tuned!

A big thank you to Vancouver Foundation and Victoria Foundation for supporting our operations, the Government of British Columbia for supporting our Mas Making programming, and all of the funders, sponsors and partners who continue to support the Hub, YYJ Caribbean Carnival and the work we do in our community.

Lots happening. Save the dates and come along for the ride!

Our very first Lime & Sip is officially in the books! 🥂✨

What an incredible evening of culture, conversation, and connection as we gathered with community leaders, partners, sponsors, artists, volunteers, and supporters ahead of i-Land Fest 2026.

From delicious Caribbean flavours and great music by Cabin Fever, to the unforgettable cultural performance by CaribFlaymz, the night reminded us that the Caribbean is more than a destination—it's a community, and together we're building something truly special here on Vancouver Island.

We're grateful to everyone who accepted our invitation and helped make this first gathering such a success. Your support, encouragement, and belief in our vision continue to inspire us as we grow i-Land Fest year after year.

📸 Take a look back at some of our favourite moments from the night. Photos courtesy of Jack Yu!

Deep gratitude to the hosts and whole YYJ Caribbean Carnival team.for making Canadian-Afro-Caribbean girl’s dreams for making this Canadian-Afro-Caribbean girl dreams, since she was young, come true, three years in a row. ❤️💛💚

4Roots Collective was born nearly 3 years ago from the intention to connect the African diaspora in the Greater Victoria Region and beyond...to lock our roots with other roots, and to create spaces where our people can gather, celebrate, and feel the beauty of belonging.

🇰 🇦 🇷 🇦 (嘉恩) and direalneilo, your continued dedication to our community through Vancouver Island Caribbean Hub and I-landfestdoes exactly that. You have helped create something so much bigger than an event. You have nurtured a living, breathing space for culture, connection, joy, and homecoming.

There truly are no words to fully describe our gratitude. Only tears of joy. Only deep, deep thanks.

Thank you for believing in this community. Thank you for holding this vision. Thank you for helping make room for all of us ✨
