⚓ MSFIT FLEET RECRUITMENT NOTICE – 1940 ⚓
The seas are unforgiving. Steel alone does not win battles — discipline, communication, and teamwork do.
We seek captains who answer the call, hold formation, and speak with purpose.
Clear signals. Coordinated strikes. One fleet. One mission.
No lone wolves. No static on the wire.
If you value unity over ego and victory over glory — report for duty.
Stand together. Sail together. Win together.

On October 25, 1933, the USS Chicago (CA-29) was seen suffering significant damage after colliding with the British cargo ship Silverpalm the day before, a peaceful but serious incident that highlighted the risks of navigation in busy interwar waters; the collision severely damaged the hull and structure of the US Navy heavy cruiser, forcing extensive inspections and repairs before the ship could return to full service, and served as a reminder that maritime accidents could have significant consequences even without combat involvement.🕊⚓🇺🇸

The Battleship Jean Bart suffered serious damage during Operation Torch in November 1942, while the French battleship was still incomplete and anchored in Casablanca harbor; despite her incomplete condition, Jean Bart continued to open fire on the Allied fleet, but was subsequently subjected to heavy fire from American battleships, including USS Massachusetts, as well as air attacks, which caused extensive damage to the ship structure, weapons systems, and internal spaces making her a dramatic symbol of the brief but intense naval battle between the Allied powers and Vichy France at the beginning of the North African campaign.🕊⚓🇺🇸

In the postwar 1950s, the USS Quincy (CA-71) was seen sailing in various United States Navy fleet operations, showcasing the power and resilience of the Baltimore-class heavy cruiser. As part of the modernization of US naval power after World War II, the ship was equipped with heavy armament, advanced radar systems for its time, and long-range combat capabilities that made it a symbol of American maritime dominance in the early Cold War era. Her presence in exercises and patrols demonstrated the strategic role of heavy cruisers in maintaining stability and projecting power in various waters of the world. 🕊⚓🇺🇸

The wreck of the USS Harder (SS-257) has been identified in the South China Sea, not far from the Philippines, resting upright on the seabed at a depth of more than 3,000 feet with its keel structure largely intact. Research conducted by the Naval History and Heritage Command in collaboration with the Lost 52 Project confirmed the submarine identity through high-resolution visual documentation and detailed photogrammetric analysis. The survey revealed significant damage to the stern and around the conning tower, consistent with the effects of depth charge attacks that led to her loss in 1944. Today, the site is recognized as a protected underwater war grave the final resting place of the ship 79 fallen crew members and is safeguarded under United States law, which restricts any disturbance without official U.S. Navy authorization. 🕊⚓🇺🇸
