Reconocimiento de la Musicoterapia como Profesión en España: Perspectiva Historica y Acciones Futuras

RESUMEN
Este artículo describe las acciones realizadas para el reconocimiento profesional de la musicoterapia en España entre 2000 y 2024, que se inician en 2007 con la primera reunión de los representantes de las cinco Asociaciones Españolas de Musicoterapia afiliadas a la Confederación Europea de Musicoterapia (AEMTA-EMTC). En esta reunión se acuerda iniciar diferentes acciones para trabajar a favor del reconocimiento profesional, mejorar la práctica clínica y promover directrices comunes para la educación y supervisión de los musicoterapeutas. En 2010, siguiendo las directrices dadas por la EMTC se comenzó a trabajar en el Registro Español de Musicoterapeutas Acreditados (REMTA). El proceso de acreditación de musicoterapeutas y de supervisores de musicoterapia se inició en 2012 y continúa vigente. Al día de hoy, 164 musicoterapeutas y 40 supervisores de musicoterapia están inscritos en el Registro Español de Musicoterapia (REMTA). El trabajo realizado desde las AEMTA-EMTC ha sido y continúa siendo una estrategia eficaz para la organización de la profesión de musicoterapia en España y mejorar su reconocimiento profesional y social.

European Music Therapy Day is coming up!

Every year on November 15th, this day is dedicated to music therapy. Across Europe, many small and large events take place, making our shared work visible. This year’s theme is “Breathe in Music.”

It reminds us to pause for a moment every now and then and allow ourselves a short break through the wisdom of music. It invites us to be present in the here and now, and to reconnect with ourselves and with others, one more reason why we use music therapeutically.

Let’s share our advocacy activities in real time across borders and together create a lively, visible and interactive presence for European Music Therapy Day. This year we are simplifying the process so that everyone can easily take part. There is no need to collect or forward individual events — instead, you are warmly invited to post your activities directly on social media using the shared hashtags:
