This March Swimming with Piranhas comes to Penticton, BC. THE STORY

Audience Raves: “Gripping” “Gave me chills.”
“So much laughter.”
HOW IT HAPPENED
Swimming with Piranhas has been created by actor/writer Colette Nichol. The play has seen various incarnations over the past two years but its "final" (is it ever really final?) form is that of a multi-character solo show. The story of the play centres around three main characters: Maggie the embittered television actress, Melanie her eccentric and recently widowed mother, and Mayra the nature-loving jungle guide. They play is about many things but at its core is a discussion of death and life which is centred around the female experience of illness, health, healing, and self-discovery. It is also a show about relationships - our relationship with ourself and our own mind and our relationship with the world and the people around us, in particular our family. A dramedy, Swimming with Piranhas will hold your attention with both the humour and unvarnished darkness of life.
