A group film with contributions from 7 artists, "A Hero's Journey" was an exciting opportunity for the director, animators, and myself to create a seamless, unified story of a prodigal son's departure from the comforts of home, out into the real world, and back again. The music had to match the pace, energy, and emotional ups and downs of the young man's harrowing voyage of self-discovery. A privilege to work with the team!

Hands down, one of the funnest tracks I've ever had the pleasure to score! Toby's request for a Sailor Moon-style theme conjured from the depths every cheesy TV theme I'd grown up with, from Wonder Woman to the A-Team to Magnum P.I. Power chords never felt so caffeinated!

Toby Alianza wanted it spooky for the intro to Before the Bean. With "Monster in the Morning", I had to decided what mornings feel like before we've had that first cup of coffee. "The Catalyst" (2018, Aditya Wibisono) - Full Film

This was an exercise in 3-act musical narrative if ever there was one, capturing the robotic, late-night haze and mania of sending in a last-minute homework assignment, followed by the sinister build of impending doom, and finally heavenly deliverance. Emotional roller coaster ride and loved every minute of it!

"Jazzoo" (2017) was a fun experiment! Usually the music comes first and the animation second. In this case, I had to create and perform the music (all instruments) to fit what had already been put up on the screen. My own personal Fantasia meets Miles Davis - in reverse! Hands down, the most fun I've had composing to date.

Aditya Wibisono's "The Catalyst" set the perfect visual tone and mood for my track, "The Deadline". When it's late and your brain feels like a bowl of Raman, it's easy to forget things. A combo of droning and ethereal computer sounds mixed with baroque harpsichord representing a meddling cat end in disaster, followed by elation. Pleasure to work with the Artist!
