Nobody really talks about how hard it is to turn down money.

As someone who’s taken plenty of jobs strictly for the paycheque, this past year looked different. I walked away from projects that would’ve helped us a lot. Some didn’t line up with who I am. Some would’ve drained everything I have creatively. Every time, I had to fight the voice saying I couldn’t afford to be picky.

What I’ve found is that the right work, with the right people, is worth waiting for. And I’d rather make fewer things I’m proud of than more things I’m not.

Still learning to trust it. But I’m not going back.

What was your favourite shot!?
There’s nothing better than when two things I love come together. Coffee and filmmaking, it doesn’t get much better than that.
We kept it simple. One iced latte, a ton of macro shots, and honestly way too many takes trying to nail that pour. But that’s the fun part! Taking something as simple as making a coffee and making it feel like a movie! It never gets old

I legitimately couldn’t see my own feet, so I used my camera (Sony FX3) as my night vision goggles.

Filming the Pixel Sky Animations drone show on top of Grouse Mountain for its 100th anniversary. Negative amount of light up there. I spent the night looking through my camera screen because it could see more than I could!

🇨🇦Happy Canada Day🇨🇦

Ive spent the last several years of my life travelling to some of the most beautiful places in this country and I still don’t have words for half of it.
The prairies stretching out further than you can process. Mountains that make you feel so small in sush a good way. Water and lakes so still and clear it doesn’t feel like this planet. The ocean just being the ocean, so powerful and beautiful all at once.
And the people. Every place I landed, same sorry’s for no reason, waves when you let someone merge in traffic and people always willing to help!
God didn’t hold back when He made this country.
I make a living pointing a camera at beautiful things, and I forget sometimes how much of it is right here. Grateful is the only honest word I’ve got
