Don has been featured in many of the top guitar magazines and wrote columns for the worldwide UK IGuitar Magazine. In 2009 his CD "Not a Planet" received 2 industry nominations for Instrumental CD of the Year which featured some special guests including Michael Manring, Julia Thornton and Ray Garraway. In 2016 his CD "Armed & Dangerous received 2 industry nominations for Instrumental CD of the Year. In Feb. 2021 Don was inducted into the BC Entertainment Hall of Fame.
