Did you know it's National Donut Day today, June 5!

Which means, today is the perfect excuse to ditch the healthy snack and grab a donut with the kids, your bestie, or honestly just yourself in the school pickup line. No judgment here.

Metro Vancouver is packed with incredible donut spots to celebrate today and some are even giving away FREE donuts, so listen up:

🍩 Lucky's Doughnuts - Show a screenshot of their IG Story at any 49th Parallel café location and the first 50 people score a free donut. Pre-order a box of 12 and get 25% off.
🍩 Lee's Donuts .ca- Today only: 6 donuts for $10, 12 for $19.79 AND free coffee all day. Yes, really.
🍩 Breka Bakery - Spend $15 and the first 100 customers at any location get a free glazed donut starting at 8am.

🍩 Cream Pony - Buy a sandwich combo between 11am and 2pm and the donut is on them.

Still figuring out what your kids are doing this summer?

Summer break is closer than it feels, and the best camp spots in Vancouver are already going fast.

Here's one worth bookmarking: Frisbee Camps.

For kids ages 7-14, here's what a day actually looks like:

🥏 Ultimate Frisbee Camp
Run, pass, and play as a real team. Everyone touches the disc. No ball-hogs, no bench.

🤖 STEM x Ultimate Camp
Ultimate Frisbee in the morning,cCoding and robotics in the afternoon. Best of both worlds.

Both camps are:
✔ Full-day programming (yes, the whole day)
✔ Co-ed with balanced participation for boys and girls
✔ Self-refereed, so kids learn real integrity and conflict resolution
✔ Open to beginners, no experience needed
✔ Run by coaches who've worked with 50,000+ students since 2016

And here's the thing about Ultimate Frisbee: it's one of the few sports where your kid genuinely cannot be left out. The rules are designed around teamwork. It's co-ed by nature. And it teaches kids how to handle disagreements on their own, without a referee stepping in.

It's the kind of sport that builds character, not just fitness.

We asked everything about their Summer Camps and you are going to want to read this!

Each day is built around a different core idea within the camp theme and every week is packed with hands-on STEAM labs. We are talking building rockets, engineering structures, creating circuits and so much more. This summer's in-dome theme is "Amazing Humans".

And the big news? Science World is offering Summer Camps in Surrey as well for the very first time. That means No bridge. No downtown traffic. Just all the Science World goodness, closer to home.

The best part? The programs are designed for different age groups so the activities are actually at the right level for your kid. Not too easy, not overwhelming. Just the right amount of challenge to build confidence and spark curiosity.
