Introducing one of judges and workshop teachers!
Lukas Lock is the co-founder and executive director of 3rd Street Beat Studios: Edmonton's all street dance studio since 2002. He is also director, dancer and lead choreorapher for the 3SB crew who won first place in Montreal in 2014 at the national hip hop championships and represented Canada in Las Vegas at HHI the past two years; making it to the semi-finals.
Lukas’ work is characterized by its numerous collaborative projects including creation and direction of the Hip Hop For Hope Benefit Series, the Artists Emerge national dance competition, The Real street dance competition & The Shadow Twins Performance Company. Lukas also co-wrote, directed, produced and co-choreographed the Hip Hop Saved my Life China production that toured Mainland China in 2010 with a cast of 35 dancers as the first Canadian hip hop company to do so. He also toured across the Mexican Riviera on Carnival Cruise Lines with his company in 2013, producing stage shows and workshops. His most recent work was building the creative youth centre in Edmonton, Alberta in 2014-2015 to act as a performing arts community centre for any artists or dancers that come through and need space to practice or perform their craft in a positive place.
