Some swatches from May🪴

I seemed to be in a bit of a searching mood last month with trying to figure out some potential yarn options for future knits.

☁️ I’m still on the fence with the first one, but I got 3 completely different yarns (no sweater quantity). I just wanted to see and test out holding 2 together. Feel the difference between the fabrics when I just swapped one of the options out. The drape, the look and texture and the overall feel. I’m still not sure which I liked best in the end, but they were all knit on 3mm needles.

Option 1: Andes by & Remix Light / 16 stitches × 24 rows

Option 2: Andes by & Heritagee / 19 stitches × 26 rows

Option 3: Heritage & Remix Light / 20 stitches × 26 rows

🫐 Potentially a summer tee: Bio Balance, a sport-weight yarn from knit on 3mm / 26 stitches × 36 rows

🌿My handspun yarn: I have about 336 meters, spun from Pond Scum Batt (Corriedale and silk blend). knit on 5mm / 16 stitches × 22 rows.

This one is such a textured, squishy, fun colour and very unique yarn! I swatched this one no project in mind, purely out of curiosity and I have nothing planned after this 😅? I’m open to ideas though.

The Maggie Cardigan 🫐

Originally supposed to be my first finished object of 2026 and somehow ended up taking almost half the year! All because of different dye lots and a sad loss of Yarn Chicken. Now it’s my fifth finished project, but even with all that drama it’s finished I love it! And can’t stop wearing it.

It’s also my first time knitting with a suri alpaca silk blend instead of just a mohair silk add on. I’ve been so curious about this alternative and I’m glad I tried it. The fabric feels softer, fuzzier, and looks more blended. it gives the cardigan such a lovely cozy texture. I want more! The yarn and of this pattern, maybe even one in every colour???

Today’s post is me accepting that my knitting is in a Blue Era🩵

I’ve been slowly working on this cute summer top for the past weeks, it’s also one of my many Blue wips on the needles right now. It’s knit up with Noro Akari Solo from

LAMIEL Tee - deserves its own post because what do you mean, you can wear it two different ways? Genius👌

I used Feather, a hand dyed yarn from : 90% superwash merino & 10% linen blend. It’s a single ply, light, super soft, and honestly the moment I received this yarn, something said it needed to become a summer knit and the by .andoliando is just the right pattern for it.

A perfect top for that late spring / early summer weather where you want something light but it’s still not cami weather just quite yet. I already know this is going to end up in many outfit pics over the next weeks. And on top of that: keeping up with my Knit Tee craze this year I seem to be in, this is now my 4th finished one?? 💛😅

Oh, how I wish you could feel the yarn. It’s giving moss? golden olive? swampy vibes?? I honestly don’t know what to call this colour, but I do think named it best when she called the original batts Pond Scum

For some reason this quirky weird colour just screamed “spin me! Spin me!”

So I did! The 200g of Corriedale & silk blend, spun and drafted so well. it left me a 3ply super squishy bouncy yarn of about a DK-ish weight, 336 meters. With zero plans at the start of this spin. I do not know what to make. Spun purely for the spin and not the project 👌

how is your spin going?

She’s so pretty 🥹✨

The Suzie has been on my mood board and my absolute “dream wheel” from the moment I learned & started hand spinning . I’ve always loved the unique modern look of these wheels with the stunning Rimu wood. I got asked why I chose this one out of all the Majacraft wheels, with the Rose being the most popular? And honestly… it’s all because of the little clematis flower on the front and back. They’re so beautiful and have my heart 🥹🌼

Before it even arrived, I knew what my first spin was going to be, I’ve been holding onto this beautiful green wool from for the past few months waiting for the perfect time.

This yarn turned out sooo squishy and bouncy. A total 369 meters, 3-ply, from two 100g batts of Columbia x Corriedale with 10% Muga silk & 10% recycled silk.

- and thank you! to Brenda from for helping me get my new wheel ✨

The Pebble top - one of my current knit Wip / a must have for this summers wardrobe.

I don’t know what it is, maybe it’s the flowers blooming, or all the sunshine we’ve been having lately. Spring has me in a casting on mood and I’m not mad about it 🌸👌
