As part of this year’s rEvolver Festival, Upintheair Theatre is hosting the mainstage performance Regarding Antigone, a new play where every line is a call to action. Showings are taking place at The Cultch’s Vancity Culture Lab on May 29 at 7:30 pm, May 30 at 8:55 pm, and May 31 at 3:30 pm.

Directed by Art Babayants and starring performer Banafsheh Hassani حسنی بنفشه, Regarding Antigone is a creation by The Sky is the Limit Theatre and Sort Of Productions.

Discover the work of more than 80 local artists located at 26 stops during the Maple Ridge & Pitt Meadows Art Studio Tour taking place on Mother’s Day weekend, May 9 and 10.

From 10 am to 4 pm each day, venues across Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows will open their doors for free self-guided tours of locally made artwork. Everyone is welcome at the 26th annual family-friendly event. The Dance Centre presents the world premiere of Corporeal Imago’s Drift from May 21 to 23 at 8 pm, as part of the Global Dance Connections series.

Drift conjures a mysterious world where the human form recedes into a scarred and shifting landscape.
