As part of this year’s rEvolver Festival, Upintheair Theatre is hosting the mainstage performance Regarding Antigone, a new play where every line is a call to action. Showings are taking place at The Cultch’s Vancity Culture Lab on May 29 at 7:30 pm, May 30 at 8:55 pm, and May 31 at 3:30 pm.

Directed by Art Babayants and starring performer Banafsheh Hassani حسنی بنفشه, Regarding Antigone is a creation by The Sky is the Limit Theatre and Sort Of Productions.

Discover the work of more than 80 local artists located at 26 stops during the Maple Ridge & Pitt Meadows Art Studio Tour taking place on Mother’s Day weekend, May 9 and 10.

From 10 am to 4 pm each day, venues across Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows will open their doors for free self-guided tours of locally made artwork. Everyone is welcome at the 26th annual family-friendly event. The mediums featured include ceramics, fibre art, floristry, glasswork, illustration, jewellery, painting, photography, sculpture, textiles, and woodworking.

The Dance Centre presents the world premiere of Corporeal Imago’s Drift from May 21 to 23 at 8 pm, as part of the Global Dance Connections series.

Drift conjures a mysterious world where the human form recedes into a scarred and shifting landscape.
