Happy belated 420! I took the time to relax and enjoy the ever-increasingly beautiful weather with friends. I’ve hung out over LoMain the last few weeks and had just a lot of fun. For 420, since the city shut down the gatherings after 2024, we just walked around from relevant business to relevant business and celebrated legalization. This year we took a detour to for boozy brunch with milkshakes (mine was a whiskey espresso) and sat out at Kits Beach for a couple of hours. The sun has been phenomenal and the pool out in Kits is being readied for the season. Don’t the product demos at look like BG3 Mind Flayer Tadpole jars?
I also took a trip out to . I used to go out there a lot with my Mom, and in 10 years, I have yet to really eat anywhere except Aji Hana. I visit places we used to go together sometimes just so I can feel close to her. This month, she’s been gone for 8 years. It’s insane how fast time passes.
Looking forward to capping off the end of a successful school year and starting my roster of outdoor film dates! I’m also in the writing/early recording process for my album! I signed to / some time ago for publishing and will be recording at various locations over the course of the summer. My upcoming bodies of work (yes, several) are all written being produced around the fact that I have auditory synthesia. I wanted to capture the tangible feeling of the moments songs are about, the post-party depression when the anticipation is gone and you’re walking barefoot home with your shoes in one hand, and the processing begins; The come down from the excitement when the reality of it all sinks in, the magic and the music giving way to silence.
