Alex "Gautz"(pronounced goats) Gauthier grew up in the humble little Québec town of Rouyn-Noranda, in a tiny but vibrant community of Death Metal bands and shows. His passion for playing electric guitar, composition and video game music lead him to study music at 17 at the CÉGEP de Drummondville and Université de Montréal, but he never found his voice and got burned out, dropped out and left it al
l behind. Until he moved to BC where he discovered bass music, music & arts festivals and sound system culture. His passion for music now renewed, he learned to DJ and started producing music again focusing on heavy music like he always has with an afinity for Drum & Bass. Having now established his homebase studio in Kelowna, he's been hard at work improving his production skills, refining his sound and making a name for himself in the North American DnB scene. He recently joined forces with the fellas at releasing music every week and you can catch him live at The Restart LvL3 in Rock Creek on May 19-20-21 !
