🍂🧡 Happy Thanksgiving from The Preserving Chef! 🧡🍂
Thanksgiving is a time to slow down, gather around the table, and give thanks for the many blessings in our lives.
We are especially grateful for the local farmers who grow our food, the abundance of the harvest, and the opportunity to preserve the season’s goodness to enjoy throughout the year.
From jars of home-canned peaches to crocks of fermenting vegetables and loaves of freshly baked sourdough, so much of what we do is about making the most of what we have, reducing waste, and bringing people together through food.
We hope your Thanksgiving weekend is filled with good food, family, laughter, and a little extra gratitude for the hands that help bring food to our tables.
From our family to yours, Happy Thanksgiving! 🥧🌾

When we moved into our home over 11 years ago, we had no idea what this little “cupboard” was going down to our basement steps was for. 🤷‍♀️
Our little boys quickly decided it was the perfect spot for their toy tractors and cars. 🚜🚗
Then, as we started setting jars there to take to the basement one day, we had an “AHA” moment! 💡
Genius idea! Of course! It was made for storing jars! 🫙❤️
Funny how a house slowly teaches you its secrets. And now, that little cupboard has a whole new purpose. 🥰
