✨️ I’m really proud of myself. ✨️
Not because of numbers, followers, or anything that can be measured.
I’m proud because I did something I never thought I would have the courage to do on my own.
This summer, I showed up to 9 markets.
Sometimes I had my daughter beside me. Sometimes I showed up when nobody else from our group did. Sometimes I didn’t feel like going at all.
But I went anyway.
I set up my booth. I put my work out there. I talked to people. I faced the nerves, the uncertainty, and all the little fears that came with putting myself out into the world.
And I did it on my own. . 🥹. .
I've learned over the years how to do things on my own because, at different points in my life, people I thought would always be there simply weren't.
Even family. . .💔. .
And as painful as that has been, I've realized something along the way…
Being alone doesn't always mean you're truly alone..🪽
Sometimes you have to learn how to take your own hand..
You have to become the person who says,
“Come on. We're going anyways.” 💃
So that's what I've done. 💯
I've stepped outside of my comfort zone. I've faced things that scared me. I've walked through doors that I never would have opened if I had waited for someone else to walk through them with me.
And I'm proud of the woman I've become because of it. ❤️
So if you're sitting somewhere right now feeling like you're alone in this world, I want you to remember something:
You are never as alone as you think you are.
Your spiritual ancestors are with you.. 🪽
They're rooting for you.
They're walking beside you.
And sometimes, when nobody else shows up, you have to be brave enough to show up for yourself.
Take your own hand.
Take that step.
Walk through the door.
You might be surprised by what is waiting for you on the other side. 🪶✨️
I'm proud of myself for walking through mine.
