If you grew up in the 90s you remember the videos of what Woody USED to look like.

Nova Scotia cryptids.....sorry....mascots....have garnered A LOT of media attention in the past few years in the news. I think specifically Pearl and Woody. Regardless of how terrifying they are....we really do love them. I genuinely think we should sacrifice that ๐Ÿ’ฉ Costco racist to Pearl this year and bring her out of hibernation.

I made a post a while back about my business really starting to pop off and I was so excited.

Then my eldest cat needed to be put down. As I am at the vet, holding him in his final moments I got a message for an incredible tattoo idea. It was so funny I couldn't help but laugh and cry. Life has a funny way of grounding you.

Thanks Gary, I loved you and I hope you're reunited with your original person in the afterlife. ๐Ÿ’—

I think my smile at the end tells you how I feel about this one. My first hand painted flash in a while and I'm happy with how this turned out.

I am realizing as I'm posting this I have been out of corporate almost exactly a year. A full year of being my own boss, making art, and tattooing people as my full time job.

I'm so incredibly grateful. Truly. I know being a tattoo artist right now can be difficult but I'd rather have a year of ups and downs in the world of creation than go back.

After YEARS of talking to this beautiful human online and hyping each other up long distance I FINALLY got to meet her in person ๐Ÿ’—.

Despite an absolute ๐Ÿ•๐Ÿ’ฉ morning she still managed to come and get this american traditional inspired crab. We both hit a trance like state somewhere in the middle where some real magic happened. She was breathing through the pain and I was breathing through some horrible artistic self doubt and powered through a rough and tough spot to tattoo.

Thank you so much for today Emersyn Evren Chaulk ๐ŸŒ€ Emulate Dance Company .... us q***r folks are truly magical...and being with each other really does help. Also, as you noted in the video, Emersyn teaches dance in Halifax and you should definitely go get some lessons and learn to throw some ๐Ÿ‘ ๐Ÿคฃ
