Looking for experience in festivals, publishing, events, communications, or the arts? Join the volunteer team behind Canada's largest free outdoor book and magazine festival and help bring WOTS 2026 to life on September 26–27 at David Pecaut Square.

As a WOTS volunteer, you'll:

We are thrilled to announce that The Word On The Street Toronto's Exhibitor Marketplace for 2026 is now officially full! 🎉

Thank you to everyone who has registered! We can't wait to welcome our incredible community of publishers, authors, magazines, literacy organizations, booksellers, and literary exhibitors to David Pecaut Square this September.

If you would like to be added to our waitlist, please email Kim Robinson at [email protected]. However, please note that we currently have a significant waitlist, so we cannot guarantee that we will be able to offer you an exhibitor space.

We have also become aware of ongoing scam emails targeting authors, exhibitors, and businesses claiming to be from The Word On The Street.

Please note:
• We do not send unsolicited emails offering exhibitor spaces or requesting payment.
• Official emails from The Word On The Street always come from .ca email addresses and include the name of a member of our team.

If you believe you may have received a fraudulent message or have been the victim of a scam, please contact us directly. We are happy to help verify communications and advise you on next steps. We are also actively working with fraud authorities to address these scams and appreciate your vigilance.

The Word On The Street Toronto 2026 Exhibitor Marketplace is now OVER 90% SOLD! 📚✨

We’ve seen an incredible response from exhibitors this year, and several categories are already reaching capacity.

We are now officially moving to a waitlist for:
✍️ Indie Author micro-booths & half booths
📰 Fringe Beat micro-booths & half booths

There is still limited availability for Magazine exhibitors in both the micro-booth and half booth categories, along with select opportunities in other marketplace areas.

2026 marketplace updates include:

We have been made aware that individuals are impersonating The Word On The Street Toronto and sending fraudulent exhibitor approval emails requesting payment via e-transfer to an unauthorized email address.

Please be advised:

❌ These emails are not from The Word On The Street Toronto.
❌ Do not send payment to any email address claiming to represent the festival without first verifying it through our official channels.

We have reported this matter to the appropriate authorities and are actively investigating the issue.

If you have received a suspicious email regarding exhibitor participation, vendor approval, sponsorship, or payment requests, please contact us directly before taking any action.
