Texture sheets are used to make the designs you see on my metal clay pieces. I made this one using acid etching on copper and a completely unique design/doodle by my friend Rita. No one will ever have the same texture on their pieces.

This piece is the most complicated I’ve ever made. It took almost 100 steps and about 20 hours and three trips to my instructor’s studio. It includes my first hinge so it actually opens.

It’s far from perfect but the fact that it’s complete and I didn’t give up is monumental because there were certainly many times when it broke apart and I had to start again. A real test of my patience. Not planning on making another, ever!

Working with bronze can be unpredictable. Sometimes it develops a beautiful patina when fired, sometimes it cracks and ruins a lot of time creating.

The pendants with holes are a new one for me - an alternative to wearing your glasses on your head!!

On my recent trip to Kenya and Tanzania I was so impressed by the craftspeople and artisans that were making spectacular art with the most rudimentary tools. Not enough room in the suitcase or at home for everything I wanted!

Working on my polymer clay line, starting with large pendants. There are a lot of jump rings, earring wires and necklace cord to be added to the pieces to finish them up.
