Our 2nd edition: KOLLECTIVE — where we highlight and showcase various dances of the African Diaspora right here in TDOT!
🤎 KITIBANA (Kee-tee-bah-nah) means Liberation in the native tongue Senufo from the northern region of Ivory Coast. Our mission is as follows: To cultivate a thriving community and network, where the African Diaspora in Toronto can reconnect with their roots, learn from each other, and build a future grounded in cultural pride and shared knowledge. KITIBANA Festival will feature a series of workshops held by local and international teachers, over the course of a weekend. Students will be able to gain knowledge and learn from Master dancers, in styles that highlight the beauty and variety of the African Diaspora.
