blink-182’s Travis Barker just sat down with the And The Writer Is… podcast and made it very clear how he feels about AI in music writing.
Barker shared,
“I hate it. I'm not a fan.”
In fact, he has a new set of rules for his studio,
“My new rules in the studio is no auto-tune, little to no editing, and no drum samples.”
With these rules, the music will be way more authentic. And he hopes to see musicians get more creative during this time period.
He shares,
“I'm leaning into just real performances, real drum sound. In a time where everything is going to be AI, and it's going to be so polished, I hope we get the dirtiest, loudest, most dangerous bands to ever exist.”
