AI legislation is moving quickly. Where does Canada actually stand?

Bill Hepburn, CAVA’s Government Advisor, is joining our Trick or Tech webinar to give us an update on the government’s approach to AI.

We'll talk about what's working, what's not, and why cross-industry collaboration is so important to making our voices heard. Especially as freelancers, creatives, and voice actors!

Coffee, conversation, and a chance to hang out with other Canadian voice actors? Sign. Us. Up.

The VO world can be pretty solitary, and sometimes you just want to talk shop, talk life, or have a laugh with people who get it. Java with CAVA is our monthly online hangout, exclusively for members. Just another great reason to join this wonderful community!

It's as easy as riding a bike... if the bike was made of balloons and the road was littered with nails 🤷‍♀️

Okay, maybe that's an exaggeration. But voice acting takes non-stop training, technical know-how, and passion and drive in the face of rejection. Yes, it looks and sounds fun (and often is), but it ain't easy.

What is a great mic if your room still sounds like a bathroom?

It's all about that acoustic treatment. One great option? The Auralex Studiofoam Wedgies.

These little foam squares can help tame unwanted reflections and echo, giving your mic a cleaner, more controlled room to work with. Plus you don't have to go crazy all at once. Start with a box of 24, and build as you need!
