Just in: Northern Electric Model 564 lo-fi phone mic. It's like the classic Model 500 but with buttons! What do the buttons do on a lo-fi mic? Well... nothing, but they have an incredibly satisfying click to them and I've added in a couple USB LED so the base is more visible on stage if you wanted to use it live. Same crunchy lo-fi mic you know and love from the 1960's G1 handsets all in a beautifully unique package. I only have two available (one in black and one in beige). Grab them now before they're gone for good! I have no idea when or if I'll ever source these again.

Cold Weather Captains just dropped a new single 'War' earlier this week. Intro was recorded with one of our lo-fi mics that they picked up last December. Definitely check it out as it's an amazing song. And be sure to send us your music made using our mics. It makes us feel all tingly inside.

We've got a whole bunch of 70's & 80's retro phone mics from Northern Telecom in blue this month. If blue is your favourite colour then consider this a sign that you need to finally grab a lo-fi mic from Space Station Audio today.

I was able to pick up a box of these very old (1920's) D1 type handsets a couple weeks ago that were headed for the dump. I'm super happy I was able to reuse the original braided cloth cable as the mic lead for them. Sound great, look great. Over a century old. Comes with the original wall mounting phone base. I can see these being used as a talk-back mic in a studio. I have six available. I can't imagine they'll be sticking around for very long. Reach out today to get one.
