Freedom by Hadassah Dove

The art piece Freedom was born from heartbreak and holy defiance against the exploitation of children. As an artist I do not just paint to make things pretty. I paint to advocate and bear witness to Children Rights. This art piece confronts the crimes against children that the enemy of world who commits in the shadows. The tears on her face are for every child who has been silenced and abused. The brick wall with, “HELP,” with the children behind it—this is the reality for too many.

But this is also a painting about how precious children are to God. The gold leaf represents the sacred worth of His children. They are not forgotten. They are not disposable. They are treasured, even when the world destroys what is innocent. The daisies in the piece represent such innocence and fragility. The broken golden chains speak to the freedom that has been stolen, and the freedom we are called to fight for. The doves carry the peace of God and the butterflies carry freedom, transformation and resurrection. The words FAITH, Believe, Light, Child Rights, Hope, Freedom, Pray are not decoration—they are a call to see, to feel, to act.

Some may say I am an activist artist. I use beauty to disarm, because once the heart is open, we can’t look away. My prayer is that Freedom stirs something inside of you. That it makes you uncomfortable enough to ask questions and go to great lengths for answers. May it make you grieve what’s been taken, and believe in what can be saved and restored. The enemy of this world seeks to destroy, but these children are precious to God. Protecting them, fighting for their freedom—that is ALL our work.

Artist Statement—Freedom by Hadassah Dove

The art piece Freedom was born from heartbreak and holy defiance against the exploitation of children. As an artist I do not just paint to make things pretty. What is freedom for a child?

Who has the right to choose what life a child should live?

When God created children He created them free to have the right to a life. A life that would give them love, care, happiness, peace, a family, a home and a future. Every child born from the breath of God deserves this right, instead so many lives are stollen, held captive and sold to slavery at the hands of an evil force plaguing this earth. A dark force that walks in a false light right in front of our faces daily. Like ravenous wolves they lurk and steal the light of the innocent to feed their insatiable satanic appetite. They lack human compassion, mercy and are desensitized to the suffering cry’s of their victims. They are the bottom feeders of society hiding underground and above distributing their evil exploits and corruption to anyone who is willing to pay for it. The innocent are harvested and sold like sheep to the slaughter for auction, they have no voice or freedom of choice. The gravity of crimes against children are increasing and not decreasing. WHO is demanding a market for such atrocities? Sadly, these perpetrators walk, work, serve, govern and live amongst us. They fit the desired tone in order to simulate into society and go unnoticed. They hide their facade behind computer screens, positions, titles, professions and power in order to conceal their unnatural acts. The cry’s and screams of the innocent have been silenced and forgotten. Why? Because many who are meant to protect free will have become joint partners with the beast. They bow down and serve the Prince of darkness of the this world. Like a thief the enemy comes only to steal and kill and destroy. He comes to steal innocence, purity, hope, love, joy and peace in everything God calls good. And he does it with great cruelty, heartlessness, violence, callousness and hatred. There is no greater darkness and evil than this!

The wrath of God that is coming, is a wrath like never before! All that is hidden will be exposed and brought out into the light! This is what the Lord is saying, Just as Abel’s blood cried out to Me from the depths of the earth, so do the cries of the innocent reach the heavens. Darkness cannot hide from what I have in store for those who harm what I hold so precious and dear. Fear, tremble— lest you REPENT! All your wicked works will come to naught and come unto you! The wrath of my righteous right hand will bring your corruption to ruin. There is no, hole, mountain or crevice where you can hide. I will uncover your sin like cockroaches scattering in the light. Your evil and impure acts I cannot stand. It permeates a putrid stench to My nostrils which will very soon come to an end. I have equipped and designated men and woman to accomplish ALL that needs to be done FOR MY GLORY. Your time has come to an end, no more and thus no farther, saith the LORD. REPENT I say, before that great and dreadful day when the Son of man comes and judges all according to their works.


“For the Son of Man shall come in the glory of His Father with His angels, and judge every man according to his works.” Matthew 16:27

God be the glory for what is and is to come in Yeshua’s name! Amen!

The inspiration for this new art piece is based upon Isaiah 54. It serves as a message of God’s unconditional redeeming love, grace, mercy and restoration. In every season He is still God. Our spiritual growths starts in dry places to transform, prune, purify, refine and lead us into a deeper relationship with the Lord. It’s a time of preparation to build our character and faith for a greater God given purpose. When the Lord says, “Enlarge your tent.” Be ready to do just that. Expand your faith and believe in what you do not see in order to receive all the He has for you. You are not forgotten or abandoned. God is mighty to save, forgive and restore with His everlasting kindness to those who love and serve Him with all their heart, mind and soul. Prepare for expansion and expect God’s promises for your life to come to fruition. The desert blossoms as a rose leading us to growth, fruitfulness, restoration and a greater faith.

ISAIAH 54

“Shout for joy, O barren woman,
who bears no children;
break forth in song and cry aloud,
you who have never travailed;
because more are the children of the desolate woman
than of her who has a husband,”
says the LORD.

“Enlarge the site of your tent,
stretch out the curtains of your dwellings,
do not hold back.
Lengthen your ropes
and drive your stakes in deep.

For you will spread out to the right and left;
your descendants will dispossess the nations
and inhabit the desolate cities.

Do not be afraid, for you will not be put to shame;
do not be intimidated, for you will not be humiliated.
For you will forget the shame of your youth
and will remember no more the reproach of your widowhood.

For your husband is your Maker—
the LORD of Hosts is His name—
the Holy One of Israel is your Redeemer;
He is called the God of all the earth.

For the LORD has called you back,
like a wife deserted and wounded in spirit,
like the rejected wife of one’s youth,”
says your God.

“For a brief moment I forsook you,
but with great compassion I will bring you back.

In a surge of anger
I hid My face from you for a moment,
but with everlasting kindness I will have compassion on you,”
says the LORD your Redeemer.

“For to Me this is like the days of Noah,
when I swore that the waters of Noah
would never again cover the earth.
So I have sworn that I will not be angry with you
or rebuke you.

Though the mountains may be removed

My loving devotion will not depart from you,
and My covenant of peace will not be broken,”
says the LORD, who has compassion on you.

“O’ afflicted city, lashed by storms,
without solace,
surely I will set your stones in antimony
and lay your foundations with sapphires.

I will make your pinnacles of rubies,
your gates of sparkling jewels,
and all your walls of precious stones.

Then all your sons will be taught by the LORD,e
and great will be their prosperity.

In righteousness you will be established,
far from oppression,
for you will have no fear.
Terror will be far removed,
for it will not come near you.

If anyone attacks you, it is not from Me;
whoever assails you will fall before you.

Behold, I have created the craftsman
who fans the coals into flame
and forges a weapon fit for its task;
and I have created the destroyer
to wreak havoc.

No weapon formed against you shall prosper,
and you will refute every tongue that accuses you.
This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD,
and their vindication is from Me,”
