Meet some of the artists behind On the Move! 🎨🧑‍🎨

More than 40 artists and youth artist mentees came together to transform the Bloor-Perth Underpass; and now we’re taking a closer look at some of the completed artworks.

🌟 Ashton Shearer🧑‍🎨 Outside The Box Program

This mural was painted by .north. This design is of the horsetail plant which is found commonly along the edges of waterways, paths and railroad tracks in Toronto and throughout Canada. Horsetail is a medicinal plant, used for its high mineral content as well as its support in connective tissue repair.

Thank you to everyone who joined us at Worth Gallery for the Paint with Pride! Exhibition and Artist Talk this past weekend! 🌈🎨

From the artists who shared their work and stories, to everyone who came through the gallery to experience the exhibition; thank you for celebrating with us and helping make this space so special!

Paint with Pride! brought together artwork created and displayed during the 2026 Pride Toronto weekend, alongside an interactive community sculpture created by co-curator Monica Wickler and guest artist Renato Baldin in collaboration with youth from the YMCA Greater Toronto Area Newcomers Program.

Join us for the 7th Annual Black Women Paint event. August 18, 2026. 1-8pm!

Every year during Emancipation Month, Black women and non-binary artists transform Kensington Market with colour, movement, and imagination. The mural envisions “A Future Without Oppression,” where Black women create joy, safety, and community care together. It honours their histories while illustrating beautiful possibilities for the neighbourhood’s future.

In vibrant strokes and shared symbolism, the Black Women Paint celebrates resilience, creativity, and collective empowerment. It stands as an annual reminder that Black women shape Toronto’s cultural landscape, imagining futures where community thrives and oppression has no place.

We are also looking for volunteers, anytime 7am-midnight. If you would like to help please email [email protected]

🌟 Sima Naseem🧑‍🎨 Outside The Box Program

This mural was painted by .n and depicts pollinators native to the local environment, reimagined through a subtle futuristic lens. In this vision, humans play an active role in supporting the pollination cycle, deploying small robotic bees and even partnering with birds to help distribute pollen. The critters featured in the piece are species commonly found in Scarborough and the surrounding area, grounding the scene in a familiar ecological context while exploring imaginative possibilities for the future of conservation.

This mural was painted by .made.it. " A love letter to waiting for the bus. Sometimes you chase, sometimes you wave, sometimes you board, sometimes it’s packed. But you are always happy to know it’s coming right back. I wanted to give life to what the bus thinks about its passengers. It feels for them and misses them. But it promises to take you out and return you home. A dedication to its dedication."

Tomorrow's the day! 🎉🎨

After weeks of painting, collaborating, and transforming the Bloor-Perth Underpass, we're excited to celebrate the incredible artists behind the On the Move! project with our official mural unveiling!

Join us to meet the artists, enjoy live music, take part in a free art workshop, and experience a guided mural tour of this vibrant new public art destination.

Created by more than 50 artists and youth artist mentees, these murals bring new energy, colour, and stories to the neighbourhood, welcoming commuters, residents, and visitors alike.
