Summer party for an accounting firm!
They had RendezViews booked for the afternoon. I have walked past this place a few times and was very curious about it, what a fun vibe!
I drew caricatures all afternoon. They had a lot of things going on like a volleyball tournament, origami competition and trivia. Guests came to me throughout the event to be drawn as a caricature. There were a lot of great sunglasses!
When everyone was arriving, someone started a list for me to follow instead of the typical first come first serve. I am very uncomfortable with a sign up list at big events unless I have a dedicated assistant to help me throughout the whole party. I unfortunately do not know anyone at the events I work, and there was so much going on that standing up and calling out names didn't work (and I looked silly!) I tried my best but went out of order almost immediately. Lists can be good with the proper organization or a small party, but I find that it mainly wastes time. I have had some bad experiences with wait lists in the past, so please please speak to me first before you decide on making a wait list ðŸ˜
