Poetry is my punishment. Maybe it always has been. I’ve never been one to let go easily. I never surrender, I overstay my welcome, I give love well beyond when I should, and I reminisce on every little thing. Searching for metaphors and meaning, wondering what could come of a situation, what’s still left to unpack. And though the ability to reflect is a gift, getting lost in that mirror of our past can be dangerous. When I made the decision to live beyond my ache, I realized I began to write a lot less… but maybe I should be grateful for the opportunity to write from somewhere that doesn’t prod the bruise, even if it means not writing much at all.🔏🖤📓 Also, I would like to share that my debut book is currently on sale! If you’ve been waiting to read the ink that you’ve become, you can now get your copy for only $10CAD for a limited time only! 🫶 happy summer reading!
