I found one of the most fun and colorful places to visit in Chicago!


Color Factory • Exhibit

Color Factory is an immersive experience filled with colorful rooms, interactive installations, and lots of little surprises along the way.

It is located in the Willis Tower so it is easy to find and get to.

I especially enjoyed the scavenger hunt, which made exploring even more fun, and the melon ice cream was such a delicious surprise!

I loved how each room had something completely different to discover, and of course, there were SO many fun photo opportunities.

If you’re visiting Chicago and want to take a break from the usual sightseeing, I’d definitely add this one to your itinerary!

Ever stayed in a covered sheep wagon? 🐑

We spent two nights at the Black Sheep Wagon in Mississippi Station, Lanark County — a handcrafted, off-grid wagon tucked away on 50 private acres.

This unique glamping stay has a cozy queen bed, a small kitchenette, solar power, an outdoor hot-water shower, and plenty of space to explore.

There are over 2 km of trails through the property, leading through the woods, along a bubbling creek, and up to hilltop views.

The wagon is also right near the K&P Trail, making it a great base for hiking, biking and ATV adventures.

There’s no Wi-Fi and only limited cell service, so this is definitely a place to disconnect from your phone and spend more time outside.

The next stop on our retreat was the Highland House which is on the same property as the Burrow.

The Highland House is a cozy tiny home that has everything you need for a comfortable stay, plus plenty of outdoor space to enjoy the peaceful surroundings.

+ the cute farm animals 😍

It’s the perfect spot if you’re looking to slow down, disconnect and experience a quieter side of Lanark County.

The tiny house itself has:

- A queen bed, double bed and sofa bed
- 1 bathroom
- Fully equipped kitchen
- Wi-Fi
- Outdoor fire pit
- Yard games/horseshoes

It can accommodate up to six guests and is about 15 minutes from Lanark Village and 21 minutes from Perth, making it possible to combine a quiet rural stay with exploring Perth, Almonte and other Lanark County attractions (more on those later).
