You're invited! the alder for the heart Opening Reception is happening Saturday, December 6th, 2:00 - 4:00pm at the Etobicoke Civic Centre Art Gallery. Please RSVP for this FREE EVENT in the link in our bio.

Join us for snacks and refreshments on the main floor foyer to celebrate the arts, the artists, and award recipients who made this event possible. We are also hosting an award ceremony with remarks from our team about this years works and standout artists with a secret special performance.

new vistas IV: alder for the heart is a multi-media exhibition by Humber Polytechnic’s Arts Administration & Cultural Management students. We want to showcase your work in our emerging visual artist exhibition! We are looking for diverse voices working in a visual medium that explore and celebrate the contemporary identity of Etobicoke/Adobigok and the Greater Toronto Area.

Submissions should explore and examine how personal identity is woven from the ecological, ancestral, and urban landscapes around us, exploring the deep interconnections between self, memory, and place in Etobicoke/Adobigok. This exhibition is meant for artists with less than 5 years of art practice and we strongly excourage applicants to reach out if they have questions.

Supported by Humber Polytechnic (), Arts Administration & Cultural Management students in partnership with the City of Toronto and the Etobicoke Civic Centre Art Gallery (ECCAG).

Happening December 3rd 2025 - January 14th, 2026 at the Etobicoke Civic Centre Art Gallery ().

🎨 Call for Artists–alder for the heart ❤️

We’re looking for emerging artist for our upcoming exhibition happening from December 3, 2025 to January 14, 2026.

Multi-media works are accepted! If your work includes painting, photography, sculptures, or its mixed media–we would love to see how personal identity connects to the land, history, and city life that shape our memories and sense of place in Etobicoke/Adobigok and the GTA.

Deadline for submissions is November 9, 2025.
