A quite 💝small💝 structured leather bag I made for in 2020.
Today is one of those rare days where I have a few hours of free time at the studio and I’m getting centered by organizing my files!
I love getting organized to increase the functionality of space both physical and digital. Not only does the space become more functional and therefore more valuable, but I reinforce the memory of where everything is, increasing my functionality.
Making more with less!
There is little that is more satisfying than that to me.
Little me having grown up hearing about global warming on and intergenerational frugality a strong and celebrated thread in my ancestry, this is hardly surprising!
It’s a recurring theme in my designs, where design, construction method, and material are edited down and down to their essentials. This creates space for the spice of maximalism.
The small bag is an exercise in the essential, where the user curates what is most needed within the constraint of space. An exercise that is constantly happening in nature. In the space opened up, is room to exercise your creativity. ✨
